<p>March 15 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. industrial production rose a larger-than-forecast 0.7 percent in February as companies made more cars, electronics and business equipment.</p>
<p>The increase in production at the nation's factories, mines and utilities followed a 0.8 percent rise in January, the largest two-month gain since October-November 1999, according to the Federal Reserve. A separate report showed manufacturing in New York state expanded for an 11th straight month in March.</p>
