LONDON — In a protest to make the nation's democratic process more inclusive, Muslims in the United Kingdom marched to demand that the voting age be lowered to 13 so their wives would be able to vote. Following intense debate on the wisdom and necessity of lowering the voting age in the UK, lawmakers agreed that there could be a case to be made for making it legal for the child brides of the country's millions of Muslim residents to vote in elections. "Every wife in the UK should have the right to vote, even when they are children," said...

OPINION: The First Amendment exists to protect dissent and divergent opinions, not just ideas that align with rigid campus orthodoxy The University of Oregon just learned a very costly lesson about free speech. This cautionary tale began in June 2022, when Portland State University Professor Bruce Gilley responded to a University of Oregon Division of Equity and Inclusion “racism interrupter” post on Twitter by retweeting it with the comment “all men are created equal.” Ironically, it seems that UO’s definition of “inclusion” didn’t include tolerance for the principle of colorblindness. Rather than recognizing that Gilley’s quote from the Declaration of...

Maurene Comey lashed out at Trump in a message to colleagues after she was fired. Maurene Comey, daughter of James Comey, was fired as a federal prosecutor in the Manhattan US Attorney’s office on Wednesday. “There was no specific reason given for her firing from the U.S. attorney’s office in the Southern District of New York, according to one of the people who spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters,” the AP reported. Maurene Comey didn’t call out Trump by name, but she attacked the president and his administration in a message after being...

Nebraska state leaders filed a lawsuit against Colorado on Wednesday seeking to have the U.S. Supreme Court assert the Cornhusker State’s century-old water rights to the South Platte River that crosses state lines. Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen, announcing the legal action at a news conference with Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers and other state and local officials, said, “Every drop of water matters.” Pillen and Hilgers accused Colorado officials of siphoning off more and more water every day, even as Nebraska had been “nice” with Colorado, which has seen increases in housing, agricultural and business development along the waterway. “We’re...

(Jul. 16, 2025) — On June 18, former Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff Joseph M. Arpaio began tweeting about the investigation his office opened into the “long-form” birth certificate image of then-sitting president Barack Hussein Obama II. Arpaio launched the probe in August 2011 after a group of more than 200 constituents approached him with concerns that if the image, released on the White House website on April 27 proved to be fraudulent as several experts asserted, their votes in the 2012 presidential election would be disenfranchised. ... continue reading at: https://www.thepostemail.com/2025/07/16/is-the-truth-about-the-obama-birth-certificate-about-to-emerge/

Following the fall of the Assad regime, Israel has established a new “red line” in Syria, launching major airstrikes on Damascus on July 16 to warn the new government against attacking the Druze minority in the south. The strikes, which targeted military headquarters, came after clashes erupted between Druze and other armed groups near Suwayda.

I’m leaving Pittsburgh, on a flight to Denver, reflecting on the last 36 hours. The Energy and Innovation Summit has just concluded, where I was invited to sit on a panel and address a room full of big shots. When my mother learned I’d be attending an event with dozens of billionaires as well as the President of the United States, she asked me if I’d be wearing something appropriate. “I’ll be wearing a suit,” I said. “Good,” she said. “Do you have one that isn’t made of rubber?” “Yes, mom. I have several suits made from cotton and wool.”...

VIDEOForget President Trump being just millimeters away from being killed. Forget about Corey Comperatore who actually was killed. Forget about the ones who were wounded. Scott MacFarlane of CBS News is the most vocal victim, at least in his own mind, of the Butler shooting. See, Poor Scott is now suffering from PTSD he got at Butler. Not from the shooting itself but because he thought the crowd was nasty towards him. Lack of politeness forced Scott to take trauma leave. Awwww! We must now all grieve in sympathy for a terrified snowflake who got his feelings hurt.

NEW: CBS News correspondent Scott MacFarlane tells Chuck Todd he got "PTSD" after Trump assassination attempt — *NOT* from the shooting, but because the crowd blamed the media. "For those of us there, it was such a horror." "I got diagnosed with PTSD within 48 hours. I got put on trauma leave. Not because, I think, of the shooting, but because you could — you saw it in the eyes, the reaction of the people." "They were coming for us! If he didn't jump up with his fist, they were going to come kill us!"

The B-21 Raider’s more compact airframe compared to the B-2 Spirit is not a limitation but a deliberate evolution in strategic bomber design. Decades of technological progress allow the B-21 to achieve a superior level of all-aspect stealth with a smaller and more efficient profile.

The classic rock group known as the Steve Miller Band has announced that they are canceling all remaining dates on their current tour because of the weather, or more specifically, the ‘extreme’ weather conditions brought about by climate change. Rock and roll just isn’t what it used to be, apparently. The group made the announcement on Twitter/X. Variety reports:

The European Commission has requested a meeting with X to discuss its artificial intelligence chatbot, Grok. Last week, European countries and lawmakers called on the Commission to amp up scrutiny on the social media platform after the AI chatbot spewed out antisemitic remarks. Those included glorifying Nazi leader Adolf Hitler as the best-placed person to deal with alleged “anti-white hate.” Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski said the government would consider banning the app, later asking the Commission to take action in a letter. X said it had removed the posts and that the problem was not related to...

Trump administration officials held an urgent meeting Sunday to discuss “new information on Russiagate,” which they might use to build a criminal conspiracy case against Obama and Biden administration political appointees who allegedly weaponized the government against Trump, two Trump administration officials told RealClearInvestigations. The documents are said to contain long-classified information, including a secret 200-page congressional audit that reveals details about how an intelligence community assessment on Russia ordered by President Obama after the 2016 election was framed in a way that portrayed Trump as being beholden to the Kremlin. Sources told RCI that emails and other records tying...

Pro-illegal alien Congresswoman Maria Salazar (R-FL) announced on Wednesday that she introduced a bipartisan bill, co-sponsored by Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX), to grant work visas to illegal aliens. She says the bill is “not amnesty,” but work visas for illegal aliens is literally amnesty. Republican co-sponsors of the bill include Mike Lawler (R-NY), David Valadao (R-CA), Dan Newhouse (R-WA), Mike Kelly (R-PA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Gabe Evans (R-CO), Marlin Stutzman (R-IN), Don Bacon (R-NE), and Young Kim (R-CA). Salazar, the primary sponsor, has appeared along with Democrat Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker, and Delaware Democrat Senator Chris Coons, a close...

President Trump signed an executive order in March designating English to be the official language of the United States. In it, he declared that it is long past time to do so to create a cohesive society and push immigrants into adopting American culture and joining the American tradition. Now, the Department of Justice is following through on the order and making sweeping changes to the federal government — and its services — to make the aggravating experience of dealing with government agencies a lot simpler. As part of new guidance, the DOJ said it was in Americans' best interest...

I wondered if any FRiends were interested in prime numbers. You'll know that prime numbers are integers, and those which have only two factors, 1 and themselves. Except for 2, all other primes are odd numbers. By convention, the number 1 is not considered prime (but this is strictly a matter of definition because 1 does not entirely contradict the premise of being a multiple of 1 and itself). I cannot post this entire thread in one post so if you come across it in an early stage, be aware that a number of posts will follow rapidly until I...
