The subject of this book is forgetfulness. By this I do not mean our tendency to misplace valuable objects, or our inability to recall the name of the boss’s dog, but the collective and cultural amnesia the over comes any group of human beings who have long benefited from the blessings of civilization – an amnesia first observed nearly eight hundred years ago by the Arab philosopher of history Ibn Khaldun, contemplating the rise and fall of those great feats of organized life that we call by such terms as societies, states and empires. Forgetfulness occurs when those who have...

The media has found its latest civil rights cause. It’s not the plight of Christians in Muslim countries who are being blocked from coming here as refugees because Obama’s refugee policy favors Muslims. Obama brought over 2,000 Syrians here in July. Only 15 of them were Christians. It’s not the rising fear of an Islamic terrorist attack in Jewish synagogues. I have lately witnessed unprecedented levels of security at synagogues including guards in body armor and checkpoints. Racist Muslim violence against Jewish synagogues has been a staple of Islamic terrorism for too many years. But instead the media has highlighted...

As I’ve noted before, the most dangerous places in America are the places where liberals reign supreme—large U.S. cities. The city of Chicago is infamously a significant part of this violence. Tellingly, 80 percent of the shootings in Chicago are classified as gang-related. And what is one of the most common traits among American gang members? Broken families—especially those involving fatherless homes.

Bill Clinton's staff used a decades-old federal government program, originally created to keep former presidents out of the poorhouse, to subsidize his family’s foundation and an associated business, and to support his wife’s private email server, a POLITICO investigation has found. Taxpayer cash was used to buy IT equipment — including servers — housed at the Clinton Foundation, and also to supplement the pay and benefits of several aides now at the center of the email and cash-for-access scandals dogging Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

NOTICE TO FR READERS, DUE TO UNEXPLAINED TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY I COULD NOT GET IT BOLD AND RED ON FR. THAT AND HTML CODES TOO LONG. SORRYAwhile back I read an old book from the last decade called Tea With Terrorists. Why they kill, and how to stop them. You check it out By clicking here but to get to the heart of the matter its written by Craig Winn who went to interview Muslim terrorists in the west bank in Israel and how the Muslim religion commands murder and intolerance and how 9/11 and Islam are interconnected. It was a...

This whole Weiner waggin’ mess started sometime in June, 2011: The Wages of War: Bris or Brisket. At the time I reported the following: After adamantly claiming for days that he did not have sext with that woman, what’s her name, Anthony Weiner finally admitted that he did indeed sext his pecs... along with other miscellaneous anatomical assets to several women; both prior and subsequent to his marriage to Huma (who couldn’t make it to the press conference due to a previous engagement)…Wiping back tears, Rep. Weiner said "This was me doing a dumb thing and doing it repeatedly and...

MANILA (Reuters) - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Wednesday he was ready to discuss any issues with Barack Obama when they meet in Laos next week, but added that the U.S. president must listen to him first before bringing up the question of human rights. Washington has expressed concern about a surge in drug-related killings since Duterte became president two months ago promising to wipe out narcotics in the Southeast Asian nation. Asked if he would be willing to discuss human rights at his meeting with Obama on the sidelines of an East Asia summit on Sept. 6, Duterte...

A golden moment from his interview with our Townhall cousin, Guy Benson. Watch him get genuinely pissy at around 4:00 when Guy, very politely, presses him on why the term “illegal” is so troubling. What we’re left with here is a third-party candidate who’s hyper-libertarian on immigration, of all issues, but not so libertarian on, for example, a carbon tax or whether business owners should be forced to cater gay weddings. That’s his pitch to conservatives who have been alienated by Trump: Possibly some new taxes, certainly less religious liberty, and all the amnesty you can eat. There’s no reason...

Clinton’s ability to make people dislike her is remarkable. She could still lose this ′Love Trumps Hate’ has become one of Hillary Clinton’s official campaign slogans. It’s a clunky pun but you get the point. Hillary stands for love — i.e progressive global values, equality, that sort of thing. Donald Trump represents white nationalism, bigotry, all the nasty stuff. Love is good; hate is bad. Trump must be trumped, so that history can keep marching in the right direction. The trouble is, Americans don’t love Clinton. The feeling they have for her tends more towards hate, actually. Clinton’s ‘favourability ratings’...

A former refugee who lied about "fearing persecution" to gain admission to the United States just got his citizenship revoked and landed more than four years in prison when it turned out he was actually a genocidal maniac who did quite a bit of persecuting, himself. Mladen Mitrovic, 55, of Loganville, Ga., was sentenced to 57 months in prison for “providing false and fraudulent information on his naturalization application†after having been admitted into the United States as a refugee from Bosnia in 1996. It turns out Mitrovic had lied about being persecuted in the then-war-torn nation to gain admission into the...

Much like the Swedish government, a German youth group has had enough of the mass migration of mostly Muslim refugees flooding into their country. But while the Swedes began to change their mind for financial reasons, the German youth group is standing up to keep Germany, well, German. According to Reuters:

Just one day after a traveling print pool was put in place for Donald Trump's campaign, the campaign is leaving the press behind on its big trip to Mexico on Wednesday. The last-minute trip to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto was announced on Tuesday. And while there is a charter plane for the press traveling with Trump, their plane was directed to Phoenix where Trump will later give an immigration speech.[snip] But some Trump campaign reporters say purposely leaving behind the reporters who cover the candidate day in and day out may be on purpose.[snip]On the daily call...

The Immigration Shell Game: Why We Should Care About Overall Immigration Let’s say I walk into a Ford dealership and say to the salesman, “I’ll give you X dollars for that Mustang over there.” The salesman nervously wipes his brow and retorts, “X dollars! Mister, you’d be literally stealing the shirt off my back! I can’t do X dollars.” I reply, “Fine. I’ll go across the street to the Chevy dealership.” I head towards the door. “Mister, wait!” the salesman shouts. “I’ll talk to my boss. I’ll see what we can do. He’s really going to wring my neck over...

It has become de rigueur in democrat circles to paint the Republican Presidential candidate as a racist every four years, despite all evidence to the contrary. Let’s get this straight. Calling Hillary Clinton a “bigot” has reporters asking every Republican in sight if Donald Trump has gone too far. But the Clinton campaign releases a video saying Mr. Trump is the candidate of the Ku Klux Klan and it’s all okey-dokey? Then again, Mr. Trump has already been likened to Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. Small wonder there’s a collective ho-hum when Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine says Mr. Trump is peddling...

At least 11 people were injured — one critically, nearly losing an arm — when a ferry heading to New Jersey hit people kayaking, according to police. Five people were taken to hospitals near Jersey City, most with minor shoulder and back injuries after the Hudson River accident. The NYPD Harbor Unit says the instructor suffered a partially severed arm, according to WABC-TV. The incident happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday near Pier 79 on Manhattan's west side as a group of 10 kayakers were paddling down the river, according to News12. The group was riding in eight kayaks, and...

'Where's the outcry against Obama's wars?' If you were paying attention during the Bush years, you’ll no doubt remember Cindy Sheehan. After losing her son in Iraq, she became the left’s anti-war focal point. Almost overnight, she found herself a staple of the 24-hour news nets and a regular Sunday morning guest. She camped out in front of Bush’s home, marched, spoke wherever possible, and never missed an opportunity to decry “Bush’s imperial war for oil.” Now, in a new op-ed titled “I led the anti-war movement against George W. Bush 11 years ago. Hillary Clinton is hardly better,” Sheehan...
