COLUMBIA — Many single-occupancy restrooms across the MU campus that were labeled as "unisex" will be re-labeled "toilet" by the time students return in August. The change to "toilet" will only affect single-occupancy bathroom stalls. In residential halls, single-occupancy stalls with showers and sinks will be re-labeled "shower" and "toilet," depending on the contents of the restroom. The move follows a resolution passed by the Missouri Students Association in January. According to the resolution, the change will "make MU's campus bathrooms more accessible to trans and gender non-conforming students." Sterling Waldman, a social justice chair in the MSA Senate, engaged...

Solution provider support for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump shot back up this month, catapulting him back into the lead over his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, according to a CRN survey. Trump is up by 18 percent after being tied with Clinton only a month ago. In a monthly survey of 182 solution providers, about 54 percent said Trump, the New York real estate mogul, would be the better candidate for their businesses if elected, while only 36 percent said the same about Clinton, the former secretary of state, U.S, senator and first lady. Ten percent of survey respondents said...

Amid all the news and noise that Trump's black voter appeal created, an umbrella operation known as the Movement for Black Lives released an economic plan. Think of the Movement for Black Lives, also known as M4BL, like the civil rights movement: a broad, multi-pronged attempt to create social and legal change populated, fueled and driven by a wide variety of individuals and organizations committed to a common set of political goals. M4BL also includes the formal organization known as Black Lives Matter and a loose collective of individuals, additional organizations and activists associated with it. The M4BL economic policy...

In this instance, how is “paying for a speech†any different than “giving a bribe In November 2011, a Swedish telecom company called Ericsson paid Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s husband, Bill Clinton, $750,000 for giving a speech. In April 2012, Obama signed an executive order which placed sanctions on telecom sales to Iran and Syria. However, Ericsson was given an exemption from these sanctions. In this instance, how is “paying for a speech†any different than “giving a bribe

Ya don't say Hillary has a problem telling the truth. It’s just not something she does. There are a lot of reasons for this, but one of the biggest is that her whole career is predicated on 30 years of lying. Her life story is essentially one gigantic, tangled, web of falsehoods, half-truths, spin, and obfuscation. The thing is, when you’ve lived that way for so long, you can’t just stop. In order to push forward, you have to keep lying, and every new answer has to square with the previous set of fabrications. That’s a lot to keep straight,...

Let's go to the tape... According to Hillary and her surrogates, Trump is a horrible racist. He’s a bigot, he hates pretty much everybody and, if he wasn’t running for President, he’d probably be riding around the deep south wearing a sheet. He’s just that awful. Of course, no one ever said any of this during the last 40 years - over the course of which Trump was a very public figure. It’s amazing that someone could be so famous, and yet no one, anywhere, ever mentioned his rampant bigotry. Like so many others, Trump’s supposed racism only came to...

Welcome, Colin Kapernick, to the Major League of Unforgettable Stupidity, well-known athlete division. It only took one brief comment, but Colin hit the end zone when he explained why he sat out the Star Bangled Banner at a recent exhibition game. "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." Free speech in America is a wonderful thing. It gives us the right to speak out when someone says something so stupid that it demands a response like, “You’re so full of crap, it’s bubbling...

Drunken Angler Pulls a gun on Family trying to fish ‘His Spot’ While his undersized fish was being taken away by the DNR, this drunken angler was being taken away in the back of the patrol car. The Michigan State Police had their hands full last Thursday when they received an unusual call. It seems that a family of four had been fishing a stretch of water on the backwaters of the Hodenpyl Dam when a drunken angler pulled a gun, pointed it at the group, and fired. The trigger happy angler turned out to be 54-year-old, Thomas Mast. It...

It is a basic principle of American law that the government may not deprive citizens of their property without due process. But, according to the Michigan Court of Appeals, at least one Michigan statute lets the state do exactly that. When Shantrese Kinnon and her husband were arrested on drug charges in Kent County, the police searched her home and seized some property, including a GMC Denali, a Chevrolet El Camino, a motorcycle, a tablet, a laptop, and nearly $400 in cash from her purse. Even though the couple had not yet been convicted of a crime, a scheme known...

EpiPens, useful medical devices which reverse potentially fatal allergic reactions, have recently quadrupled in price, putting pressure on allergy sufferers and those who care for them. Vox writes that this “tells us a lot about what’s wrong with American health care” – namely that we don’t regulate it enough: The story of Mylan’s giant EpiPen price increase is, more fundamentally, a story about America’s unique drug pricing policies. We are the only developed nation that lets drugmakers set their own prices, maximizing profits the same way sellers of chairs, mugs, shoes, or any other manufactured goods would.Let me ask Vox...

What if Weiner was texting coded national security secrets or Clinton Foundation secrets to someone who acted as a liason for Clinton? Was Weiner a go-between of some sort? Was the sexting not really sexting, but coded messages to some 3rd party or agent of a foreign government?

Hillary Clinton refers to Ku Klux Klan leader as “my friend and mentor†In 2005, the Washington Post reported:… a politically ambitious butcher from West Virginia named Bob Byrd recruited 150 of his friends and associates to form a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan. After Byrd had collected the $10 joining fee and $3 charge for a robe and hood from every applicant, the “Grand Dragon†for the mid-Atlantic states came down to tiny Crab Orchard, W.Va., to officially organize the chapter. In 2010, Clinton referred to Byrd as“my friend and mentorâ€You can hear her saying it at the beginning of...

Germany recently marked an ignominious anniversary, one which future generations of Germans-assuming there are any-will look back upon with shame and regret. I’m speaking, of course, about Angela Merkel’s decision to welcome over a million settlers from the Islamic world into the bosom of her country. The horrific consequences of this monumental decision have been documented on an hourly basis for those who care to look. The fact that a majority of the German population no longer believes she’s fit to serve as Chancellor, and that over two-thirds believe her decision to deconstruct their nation was a bad idea is...

The State Department issued a warning to US citizens advising them to avoid foreign travel for the "foreseeable future." The warning was sparked by what the Department characterized as "an unfortunate misunderstanding of a recent multi-million dollar payment to Iran." "We thought we were paying off an amount due Iran from the cancellation of the Shah's 1979 purchase of jet fighters," explained Payton Moore, Undersecretary for Islamic Relations. "The government of Iran thought we were paying ransom for four Americans they were holding prisoner until a plane delivering the $400 million in cash arrived in their country. Now the Iranian...

“What happened? What the hell happened!?” asa663@verizon.net These are the final words spoken by Jake Holman in the magnificent movie, “The Sand Pebbles.” Holman, played by Steve McQueen, serves as the protagonist in the 1966 movie, a movie about the Chinese Communist Revolution set in 1926 (although about Vietnam). Holman has just been shot to death by Communist soldiers as he gives his life to save his love interest and the lives of fellow crewmen from the gunboat USS San Pablo. Making the movie was a two-year ordeal and McQueen has said that making it “made up for all the...

Including: Making insurers help pay the costs of other insurers' high-cost policyholders ObamaCare is a huge and glorious success, and it’s the shining jewel in Barack Obama’s legacy. That’s what the Democrats have been telling us for several years, and for the most part the media have dutifully parrotted this talking point. But in recent months, it’s gotten harder for Obama’s media protectors to keep pretending everything is OK. Exchanges are in dire fiscal straits. Insurers are dropping out. Premiums are soaring. Provider networks are narrowing. The left keep reaching back for what it thinks is the one saving grace...

Stay focused, determined and resolute until you get out to vote Donald Trump We should take seriously all the bombs Barack Hussein Obama plans to toss in our path on his way out of the door. Most know that his coming departure is only a temporary one, given that Hillary Clinton is poised to be Obama’s third term in office. Next big bombshell coming down the pike at America: At midnight September 30, Obama will cut off the access of millions to the Internet by abdicating Internet stewardship over to the control of the United Nations.
