"You are old, Mrs. Clinton," the young voter said, "And have to pretend to be strong; And yet you incessantly sit on a stool -- Do you think, you'll keep up, the act long?" "In my youth," Mrs. Clinton replied to the pup, "I was always afraid of a fall; But, it's more than a stool, for the Press holds me up, (and my Poll numbers, too!) through it all." “'You are old,' ” said the youth, “as that old poem went, "And have grown most uncommonly fat; Yet you still wear those pants suits that look like a tent...

This will be my first and LAST vanity. I love this board and am so grateful to Jim for having created it. Although I do enjoy the conversations very much, i am here because I am a conservative, at least what conservative is supposed to mean, I think. I wrote the following 19 years ago. What’s scary is that most of it is still relevant today. I was ecstatic as i sat on the train and found that the NY Post had posted my editorial comment. I even yelled it out, which received strange glances!! I’d like to share it...

Subtitle: Republicans urged to join ‘Together for America Finance Council’ to defeat the GOP nominee. Hillary Clinton’s team is on the market for more millionaires. This time, Mitt Romney’s millionaires. After successfully encouraging disaffected, high-profile Republicans to publicly disavow their party’s nominee, Clinton’s campaign in the last two weeks has launched a coordinated effort to convince conservatives to give money to the only woman standing in Donald Trump’s way, and to get their friends to do the same.

Even if you did not miss the news last week, you might have missed the fact that Donald Trump had a spectacular week on the campaign trail, touched off by a couple of major policy speeches and then a visit to flood-plagued Louisiana that for all intents and purposes has reset the campaign and even now show Trump ahead in one prominent national poll. Trump got a major bounce out of those speeches, particularly his Aug. 16 speech in response to the Milwaukee riots on law and order in West Bend, Wis. In that speech Trump unveiled a major appeal...

An Army spokesman has confirmed that a training slide that lists Hillary Clinton as an "insider threat" is real. The slide -- which shows Hillary Clinton pictured along with the Fort Hood and Navy Yard shooters -- became an internet sensation after it was posted on the U.S. Army W.T.F! Moments Facebook page on Sunday. Via the Washington Examiner: The other photos show retired Gen. David Petraeus, who gave classified information to his biographer and mistress; Nidal Hasan, who carried out the Fort Hood shooting; Edward Snowden, a former NSA contractor who exposed classified information before seeking asylum in Russia;...

It's a sad day for socialists everywhere You may recall that the Bernie Sanders - the wealthy, multi-homed, socialist that he is - has a “thing” for breadlines. As he famously said: “It’s funny; sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is, that people are lining up for food. That is a good thing. In other countries, people don’t line up for food: the rich get the food and the poor starve to death.” Bernie’s also had a lifelong affinity for the glorious socialist uprisings throughout South America and in Cuba. You and I might laugh at this,...

It's about the abuse of the tax code to undermine federalism and the constitutional separation of powers You probably saw yesterday - and maybe you celebrated - the news that a federal judge has ordered a nationwide halt to the Obama policy of requiring states, cities and school districts to accommodate “transgender” bathroom usage or face the loss of federal funds. It’s certainly good news that the transgender nonsense has suffered a defeat. But if you think that’s all this is about, you’re missing a much larger point. Obama and the Democrats don’t even really care all that much about...

In one of the rare recent increases for a late-summer week, U.S. retail gasoline prices unexpectedly rose in the week to August 22, by US$0.044 to US$ 2.193 per gallon, according to data by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). Gasoline prices have dropped during this particular week in eight of the past ten years, and last week saw the biggest increase for this week since a US$0.062 rise in 2005. In the previous two August weeks, U.S. average gasoline prices had stood at US$2.150 in the week to August 8 and at US$2.149 in the week to August 15....

The beach is constantly changing. The beach remains the same. It is a dynamic constant in our lives, a strand of sand to which we return year after year. This year, the first thing we noticed were all the rocks, a vein of smooth beach stones the size of belt buckles lying between the hard-packed sand of the intertidal zone and the hot, dry sand of the upper beach. Were these stones deposited upon the beach by a storm or perhaps exposed by same? They weren’t here last summer, at least not so exposed and so concentrated. The stone strip...

The long and winding saga of Freddie Gray has mostly drawn to a close, but that doesn’t mean that the topic has dried up in Social Justice Warrior circles. At the home of all things liberal – Vox – there is a fresh round of outrage regarding the officers involved in the incident. This one sub-header seems to capture the mood perfectly: “It’s even clearer now than after Freddie Gray’s death: The Baltimore Police Department is a disaster” So what is it that has everyone up in arms this time? As the Baltimore Sun reports, the officers who were found...

A Wayne State University professor who blamed the Flint water crisis on “structural racism” and a decline in state revenue sharing based his assertions in part on an incorrect estimate from an outdated revenue projection. Audited financial reports from the state of Michigan and city of Flint showing actual revenue collections contradict the professor’s source. Law professor Peter Hammer released a report claiming that state revenue sharing payments to Flint declined from $20 million in 2006 to $7.9 million in 2012. But both city and state financial statements indicate this statement was inaccurate and that Hammer’s overall report understated Flint’s...

Veteran Democratic operative James Carville fights back against Donald Trump's call to close down the Clinton Foundation. Carville defended the Clintons and told CNN they "never took a nickel out of the foundation." Carville said opponents will "probably be successful" in shutting down the foundation but people will die because of it. "First of all, the Clintons never took a nickel out of the foundation," Carville said Monday night on CNN. "In fact, they gave a million dollars. So let's stop... the second thing is I'm sorry, but the foundation negotiated prices to lower malaria [drugs] to cents. I don't...

Plenty of Democrats favor giving black Americans reparations because of slavery, which ended a century and a half ago It never ends with these people. Everything everywhere every time is always about race. New York Black Lives Matter agitator Arielle Newton, a racist as all BLM leaders are, whined in an op-ed that “this presidential election is best characterized as a tyrannical pageant of white fear.” Whatever that means.

We are scholars and informed citizens deeply concerned by the edict of the Supreme Court of the United States in Obergefell v. Hodges wherein the Court decreed, by the narrowest of margins, that every state in the country must redefine marriage to include same-sex relationships.   The Court’s majority opinion eschewed reliance on the text, logic, structure, or original understanding of the Constitution, as well as the Court’s own interpretative doctrines and precedents, and supplied no compelling reasoning to show why it is unjustified for the laws of the states to sustain marriage as it has been understood for millennia as the...

Hillary is in Los Angeles this weekend and well... her health is not as good as it could be.  So, as a public service, we need to let her personnel know where she can can get medical helo in a hurry! On the west side, the larges hospital where ALL her friends probably would go is Cedars Sinai.; 8700 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA‎ (800) 233-2771‎ If she finds herself  close to the more eastern side of town, it would be USC ;  1200 North State Street, Los Angeles (323) 409-1000.  or, if she finds herself even more westerly, there is UCLA;...

Twenty-three years ago during the Clinton administration, Deputy White House Council Vincent Foster was found dead in his car. This scandal shocked the country, and raised massive questions about just how dangerous the Clintons are.[snip]Rodriguez claims that after he produced additinal damning evidence of a possible Foster murder coverup, he became a target and was investigated internally! In the letter, he explained 12 ways in which the case has mishandled and compromised. Then, he noted:[snip] Here is the (new smoking gun) in the Foster case!

Though the evidence for Michigan spending its way to educational success continues to disappoint, its champions have turned to misdirection and misinformation to keep pressing their cause forward. The release of the $400,000 Michigan Education Finance Study (better known as the adequacy study) was far more of an early summer flop than a box office hit. As Detroit Free Press editorial page editor Stephen Henderson laments, the study “landed with the force of a feather on desks in Lansing.” His call for the adequacy study to start “a bigger conversation” about school funding was echoed a few days later in...

Unparalleled corruption. You’ll want to click through to read the specific e-mail content we didn’t have room to excerpt here. Judicial Watch continues to do the work the media don’t want to do in revealing the fundamental corruption of Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation. It sums up perfectly the pay-for-play corruption that characterized everything Hillary did as Secretary of State, and demonstrates in stunning details just how the Clinton Foundation was used to collect cash from suitors in exchange for favors. And at the center of it all was Mrs. Carlos Danger herself:
