Scott Jennings is hardly a raging Trump fan. He's a Bushie, having served as a special assistant to W, and is a quintessentially traditional Republican. But CNN couldn't risk letting Jennings have a level playing field in his discussion of Kenosha and related issues with South Carolina Democrat Bakari Sellers on today's New Day. And so, the show decided to triple-team Jennings. Last week, we caught CNN anchor John Berman and South Carolina Democrat Bakari Sellers denying there were any politics involved as they gushed over Joe Biden's pick of Kamala Harris as his running mate. Today it was MSNBC's turn to negate any notion that, heaven forbid, politics could possibly be involved in expressing support for Joe Biden. A Democratic state representative introduced a proposal Thursday to eliminate parts of South Carolina’s “stand your ground law” self-defense law, citing the slaying of a black Florida teenager.
