Bakari Sellers, a top CNN commentator, on Wednesday apologized and deleted a post blaming President Donald Trump for the horrific plane crash in Washington, DC. A mid-air collision between a regional American Airlines jet and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter late Wednesday night close to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport reportedly left no survivors. As Americans were reeling in the aftermath of the crash, one CNN commentator, Sellers, swiftly took to X, formerly Twitter, to blame Trump for the tragedy. “Eight days ago,” Sellers wrote, referring to Trump’s recent inauguration to become president. At the time, it remained...

Democrats Bakari Sellers and JoJoFromJerz rushed to X Wednesday night to blame President Donald Trump for a deadly collision between an American Airlines flight and a military helicopter. Sellers deleted his post and then made the horrific crash about himself. CNN anchor Kate Bolduan told conservative colleague Scott Jennings to “zip it” during an on-air dispute with a Democrat-supporting pundit who claimed that “prices are going down.” Bolduan hosted a segment ahead of the certification of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory on Monday in which she, Jennings and Bakari Sellers debated President Joe Biden’s legacy and the events of Jan. 6, 2021. Jennings, a former aide to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), pushed back when Bolduan expressed amazement that Trump was re-elected despite his role in the events at the US Capitol four years ago. “They looked at what happened...

Yet, those who backed Harris are convinced that the woman who became vice president because of her gender and the color of her skin has vast potential, and if being president of the United States is not in the cards, perhaps a seat on the Supreme Court will do. An anti-Trump account on X under the name Protect Kamala Harris floated a proposal that would result in the failed Democratic nominee sitting on the nation’s highest court. “Want to blow Republicans’ minds? Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor retires. President Biden appoints Kamala Harris to Sotomayor’s vacancy with a lame duck...

CNN’s Bakari Sellers floated the idea of President Biden replacing Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor with Vice President Kamala Harris before President-elect Donald Trump can be sworn into office. "CNN News Central" host John Berman asked Sellers about concerns among Democrats regarding Trump and the Republican majority in the Senate potentially replacing Sotomayor, the third-oldest member of the Supreme Court. Sellers argued Sotomayor should step down so Biden and the current Democratic majority can replace her in the months before Trump’s inauguration to ensure another liberal justice on the court. "You know, Justice Sotomayor has been a more than able...

Scott Jennings is hardly a raging Trump fan. He's a Bushie, having served as a special assistant to W, and is a quintessentially traditional Republican. But CNN couldn't risk letting Jennings have a level playing field in his discussion of Kenosha and related issues with South Carolina Democrat Bakari Sellers on today's New Day. And so, the show decided to triple-team Jennings. As you'll see from the video, co-host Alisyn Camerota repeatedly interrupted to shush Jennings, echo Sellers' talking points, and challenge Jennings with anti-Trump views of her own.Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Last week, we caught CNN anchor John Berman and South Carolina Democrat Bakari Sellers denying there were any politics involved as they gushed over Joe Biden's pick of Kamala Harris as his running mate. Today it was MSNBC's turn to negate any notion that, heaven forbid, politics could possibly be involved in expressing support for Joe Biden. Willie Geist, normally the less-politicized voice of the Morning Joe crew, made a heartfelt plea for Biden, all while denying politics were in any way behind his words.Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

You gotta believe them! Because a CNN anchor and a former Democrat official would naturally never let politics color their commentary! During CNN's New Day this morning, both host John Berman and guest Bakari Sellers explicitly denied that there were any politics in their emotional comments on the Biden/Harris event of yesterday. Berman claimed he was speaking "completely aside from politics" in gushing over the emotion he saw in Biden as Harris spoke about his son Beau. And Sellers declared that his praise was "purely without the politics" in commenting on the "empathy and compassion, the love you saw, the...

CNN analyst Bakari Sellers's attack on President Trump this morning was, literally, incendiary. Speaking of the Trump rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma scheduled for June 19th, Sellers said: "I’m extremely worried, though, about the president going to Black Wall Street, going to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to deliver a message next week. The reason being is because you never really want an arsonist near the house when it’s burning down."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

In his later life, George Wallace repeatedly repented for his segregationist sins. And many, including some of his former foes, were willing to accept his apologies. Thus, for example, after Wallace's death, civil rights activist, former Freedom Rider, and now congressman John Lewis wrote a New York Times column entitled, "Forgiving George Wallace," which concluded with these words: "George Wallace deserves to be remembered for his effort to redeem his soul and in so doing to mend the fabric of American society." But CNN commentator Bakari Sellers, it seems, is not the forgiving sort. On Tuesday's New Day, speaking of...

Billionaire businessman Mark Cuban said he is "considering" running for president of the United States in a new podcast posted on Tuesday. In an interview on former Democratic South Carolina state representative Bakari Sellers' podcast ViewPoint, Cuban said he is an "independent all the way through" who tries to remain informed and objective on issues. Sellers noted that Cuban supported Hillary Clinton during her campaign against President Donald Trump in 2016 and asked if he would help Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections. Cuban said he would "probably not" be on the trail during the midterms. "Mark, are you considering...

Bernie Sanders is a survivor, but can he survive the orchestrated media onslaught that seems determined to bring him down? At 78, Sanders has survived a heart attack, and the loathing of the Democratic Party establishment and its compliant media wing. He survived that recent vicious and shameful CNN takedown accusing him of sexism for allegedly saying a woman couldn't be elected president. Sanders denied it. CNN didn't much care. Now his supporters are being shamed as dangerous and angry by other media and also as tools of President Donald Trump. But guess what? It's all backfiring. Sanders is surging,...

Go to 91:44 to hear for yourself. CNN's transcript of Lemon's CNN Tonight from 8/19 is here: http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1908/19/cnnt.02.html The rest of the transcript is rather interesting, but this is what I transcribed of Sellers' words (the money quote I heard on the way home via radio on Loesch's show with Sergio Sanchez hosting): "Well first of all, I don't think any democrat...I..I know Joe and myself both are not hoping that the country goes into a recession. Ah, we don't want individuals to suffer more than they are. But what we are saying is that the proverbial chickens are coming...

Sen. Elizabeth Warren sought to solidify her connection with African-American voters Friday as she prepares to launch a potential presidential campaign amid criticism of her approach to race and identity. The Massachusetts Democrat visited Morgan State University in Baltimore, marking her third trip this year to a historically black college or university. It follows her widely panned October release of a DNA test meant to bolster her claim to Native American heritage. Her speech Friday offered an opportunity to regain her footing. “I’m not a person of color,” Warren said. “And I haven’t lived your life or experienced anything like...

In his youth, Herschel Walker’s freakish athleticism allowed him to channel a quiet rage that allowed him to excel in football, bobsledding, sprinting and mixed martial arts. Walker, now 56, isn’t quite the athletic marvel that he was when he was in his 20s, but that doesn’t mean that fire in his belly is gone. Unfortunately for Don Lemon, Walker is directing every last bit of his fire toward the CNN host after a controversial segment Tuesday on Kanye West’s visit to the White House. Lemon, along with political commentators Bakari Sellers and Tara Setmayer, sparked outrage with comments about...

On Tuesday's CNN Tonight, while discussing Kanye West's recent alliance with Republican President Donald Trump, CNN host Don Lemon twice claimed without citing any evidence that Trump supporters in the past had "called him the N-word" when he criticized singer Taylor Swift and President George W. Bush. Additionally, CNN contributors Bakari Sellers and Tara Setmayer inserted racially tinged comments into the discussion as Setmayer called West a "token negro," and Sellers derided him as "what happens when negroes don't read." After noting that West is having a meeting with President Trump to discuss criminal justice reform, he played a clip...

A Democratic state representative introduced a proposal Thursday to eliminate parts of South Carolina’s “stand your ground law” self-defense law, citing the slaying of a black Florida teenager. The proposal is not expected to go far. Self-defense is an accepted right in South Carolina, and Republicans control both the state House and Senate. But state Rep. Bakari Sellers, D-Bamberg, said parts of the self-defense law need to be scrapped before it results in a killing similar to that of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. Last month, Martin was shot and killed while walking home from the store. The man who says...
