Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump locked, loaded and fired away at Hillary Clinton on Friday at the National Rifle Association's annual gathering in Louisville, Ky. Trump, who seemed surprised to receive the major gun lobby's endorsement minutes before he took the stage, spent most of his speech blasting the Democratic front-runner's aggressive push for gun control and accusing her of wanting to leave Americans "defenseless." "Hillary wants to disarm vulnerable Americans in high-crime neighborhoods. Whether it's a young, single mom in Florida or a grandmother in Ohio, Hillary wants them to be defenseless," the billionaire told thousands of gun...

May 31, 2016 Jeff_Berwick It seems barely a day passes now without some big name person warning of imminent collapse. The latest is Alan Greenspan. In an interview on Thursday he told Fox News that Venezuela is now under martial law and that “America is next.” He said that what was happening in Venezuela was inevitably going to take place in the US. I agree with this. In fact, we said this exact thing just last week with our article, “Venezuela Descends Into Chaos… Europe and US Next.” Funny enough, a few brainwashed sheeple said we were crazy for saying...

Obama decided to commemorate Memorial Day (after denouncing the US military from Vietnam to Japan) by calling for "good healthcare" for veterans. President Obama called for veterans to receive better healthcare and good-paying jobs during a Memorial Day speech at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. “We have to be there not only when we need them, but when they need us,” Obama told the crowd of survivors who have lost loved ones in battle.

Bernie Sanders’ appeal among young people has increasingly focused on delivering the supposed benefits a socialist society can give them; free education, free health care, and a government-mandated ‘living wage.’ But his vision for a socialist utopia flies in the face of reason – and the saddening saga of socialism in Europe. Sanders’ latest missive accusing Senator Mitch McConnell of denying pensions to coal miners in Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania typifies a fervent belief that the government can be a cure to all ills. The coal industry has been hit hard over recent years – in particular because of...

Yes, Trump Can Win By Sean Trende May 31, 2016 Throughout this primary season, I’ve had an ongoing fight with a co-worker about whether Donald Trump could win the general election. I was pretty firmly in the “if the economy collapses, maybe, but he is much more likely to drag the entire Republican field down with him” camp. To resolve this, my co-worker invited me to set up some benchmarks: what we would have to see in order to believe that Trump really could win the election – not just that he had some sort of outside shot in a...

I agree with Donald Trump that something is “very fishy” about the Vincent Foster death. Foster was President Bill Clinton’s Deputy White House who was found dead in Virginia’s Fort Marcy Park on July 20, 1993. The official United States government conclusion is that Foster committed suicide by firing a revolver into his mouth with the bullet exiting the back of his head.

This past week has been a milestone of sorts for those who closely follow the continuing saga of Hillary Clinton’s wrongful use of email systems during her tenure as Secretary of State. But the kind of milestone it was depends on where you stood when the week began. For those of us who recognized from the outset that Ms. Clinton’s exclusive use of a personal email system for all her official business (not to mention her unprecedented use of a private server atop that) was a clear violation of the Federal Records Act (“FRA”), the findings of the State Department’s...

A Friday piece in Politico Magazine warns that a Hillary Clinton “fumble on trade” could give Donald Trump wins in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan in a general election contest. In a piece entitled, “How Hillary Loses,” David S. Bernstein writes that the new polls showing Trump ahead of Clinton represent a “terrifying moment for Democrats.” While Bernstein says one should not read too much into the early polls, he argues that the polling numbers reveal that “there is now a clear path for her to lose” the election. In particular, Bernstein explains that trade could win Trump Ohio, Wisconsin, and...

Romneycare in Mass was the model for Obamacare This weekend there are rumors that Hillary Kristol has recruited Romney to run as a Third Party spoiler, perhaps ubsuring a Clinton victory in Nov If that happens, Romney-Obamacre doesn't get repealed; its killer premiums will be with us forever.

As the 2016 presidential primaries got underway, there seemed to be several incontrovertible truths: Hillary Clinton’s nomination was inevitable, and Donald Trump stood no chance. Yet, here we are six months before the election, and Trump has seized the Republican nomination while Clinton is still working to box out Bernie Sanders’ insurgency (without losing his voters, who it turns out, may peel off after all).--snip--A Referendum on Obama’s Administration and Bill Clinton’s Historically speaking, it is rare that a party that completed two terms in the Oval Office manages to win a third. Granted, Obama has been a transformational president,...

The enthusiasm for Hillary is low. One way to check this out is to go to Youtube, search "Hillary Rallies", set filter for past month, then take note at how many people have viewed her rally video's. Do the same for Trump. Hillary is NOT EVEN NEAR as popular as the media is trying to make us believe. Most of Hillary's videos there have, maybe at best, 2000 views, Trump's Rally Video's have HUNDREDS OF THOUSNDS of Views. Hillary Rallies: https://www.youtube.com/results?q=hillary+rallies&sp=EgIIBA%253D%253D Trump Rallies: https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=EgIIBA%253D%253D&q=trump+rallies Doing the same for Bernie Sanders, the viewcount is far higher than Hillary. (But much less...

Cell phone footage captured at Wednesday’s campaign rally shows Donald Trump’s touching and spontaneous interaction with a group of mothers who attended the rally and who lost their children to illegal alien violence. Trump vows to cancel the Paris climate deal, stop funding UN global warming programs and save the coal industry. Gotta love these plans. No wonder the big-government fans are apoplectic over Donald Trump as he paints targets on their most sacred cows. In Australia Bill Shorten, potential Prime Minister, called Trump: “Barking Mad.” Shorten, showing his diplomatic talent, was burning goodwill with a potential US president and 45% of voters in the largest economy in the world and our most important strategic ally. Below, the Trump plans this week: to use cheap energy; to stop trying to change the weather,...

“Big data” could play a huge role in the 2016 US election, even if Donald Trump doesn’t think so. Trump, who sailed through the Republican primaries using unconventional campaign rallies and Twitter messages, has indicated that he sees little use for popular data analytics tools to help target specific voters. But analysts say he may be at a disadvantage in the general election if he stays on that course. “In the primaries, he was only looking for Republican voters, and in the general he needs all voters,” said Alan Rosenblatt, a digital political strategist...

It's been about eight years since the Great Recession, but California voters still rank jobs and the economy as the most important issue heading into the presidential primary election. That's one of the findings of a new Field Poll released Thursday, just 12 days before the June 7 runoff. Seven out of 10 likely voters across the political spectrum rated the economy as a top concern, according to results from the Field Poll conducted for the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy.

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump told California voters Friday that he can solve their water crisis, declaring, "There is no drought." Speaking at a rally in Fresno, Calif., Trump accused state officials of denying water to Central Valley farmers so they can send it out to sea "to protect a certain kind of three-inch fish

Donald Trump has a simple formula to get America's energy industry back on its feet: regulate less and start drilling a lot more for oil and gas. In his first in-depth speech about energy policy, Trump on Thursday promised to make American energy "dominance" a strategic economic and foreign policy goal of the U.S. "America's incredible energy potential remains untapped. It's a wound that is totally self-inflected," Trump said during a speech at a North Dakota oil industry conference.

Applications for U.S. citizenship soared in the first three months of the year compared with 2015, appearing to confirm the predictions of several Democratic-leaning groups that the numbers would climb in response to the presidential campaign of Republican Donald Trump.

A substantial number of voters think they’ve been cut out of America’s implicit economic deal. The “anger” hypothesis for explaining the rise of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders has become the conventional one, and this is a rare occasion when I believe the conventional view is right. Recent news stories show why the Trump-Sanders phenomenon will not be fleeting. The Fed reported on Wednesday that nearly half of Americans would have trouble meeting an unexpected $400 expense. In addition, about one-fifth of Americans were working two or more jobs simultaneously last year, and about one-third have no retirement savings or...
