The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said a pickup truck hit two moose. Then a sport utility vehicle that had been following the truck hit one of the animals. The accident happened in the eastbound lanes between Topsail Road and Thorburn Road. Meanwhile, the RNC also said a vehicle hit a moose on the Southern Shore highway, south of St. John's, on Thursday evening. The driver sustained minor injuries.
