Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was rushed to hospital with critical injuries in Indianapolis on Saturday morning after allegedly being stabbed in the chest during a dispute with a food delivery driver. Police were called to downtown Indianapolis at around 12:30am following reports of a disturbance before finding two injured people, one of whom was Sanchez. The 38-year-old, who was in town to cover Sunday's NFL game between the Colts and the Las Vegas Raiders as a commentator for Fox Sports, is now recovering at a local hospital in 'stable' condition, the network has announced.

The Trump administration plans to federalize 300 members of the Illinois National Guard, Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker says. Pritzker, who called the move “absolutely outrageous and un-American,” said the Illinois National Guard received word from the Pentagon on Saturday morning that the troops would be called up. U.S. Border Patrol agents shot a woman in Chicago Saturday after an angry mob apparently tried to attack the law enforcement officers. The gunfire erupted after a group of agents were “rammed in by 10 cars” and “boxed in” while patrolling the city’s South Side, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told the Chicago Sun-Times.
