The inspector generals for the Central Intelligence Agency and Office of the Director of National Intelligence resigned from their oversight roles after former President Donald Trump's re-election victory. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s Thomas Monheim and the CIA's Robin Ashton are the two IGs who resigned. Monheim and Ashton were nominated by President Biden in 2021 and confirmed by the Senate. “After more than 38 years of public service, I am retiring from the federal government at the end of this year. It has been the pinnacle of my rewarding career to serve alongside the dedicated officers...

California Republicans managed to flip a State Assembly seat with a nearly 14-point Democratic registration advantage. Republican Jeff Gonzalez narrowly beat out Joey Acuña Jr. to fill the seat of Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia, D-Coachella, who opted not to run for re-election in the nearly 60% Hispanic district. “I am honored that the voters have elected me to serve Assembly District 36 and believe in our mission of bipartisanship, lowering the cost of living, and turning the direction of our state around,” Gonzalez said in a victory statement. Because he is a Republican, Gonzalez is not eligible to join the state’s...

Colorado officials have agreed to pay over $1.5 million to cover attorney fees for graphic designer Lorie Smith, who successfully challenged the state’s antidiscrimination law at the Supreme Court. The settlement, announced Tuesday, comes months after the high court ruled in 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis that Colorado violated Smith’s First Amendment rights by attempting to compel her to create wedding websites for same-sex couples against her religious beliefs. Earlier this year, a federal district court issued a final judgment requiring state officials to cease efforts to compel Smith’s speech, a resolution that brought an end to years of legal...

att Gaetz is the closest America can get to having Donald Trump himself as attorney general. Like Trump, the Florida congressman is a reformer who doesn’t conform to reassuring myths about the character a reformer should have. Those myths have an enduring hold on the legacy media, especially, but voters rejected them in 2016—and again this year. There are two ways to look at the corruption that is rife in 21st-century American life. One view is that reform demands a saint to reproach the wicked. While we await a political hero with the character of a second George Washington, we...

The Hard Untruths of Ta-Nehisi Coates. A bestselling polemic riven with hatred thrills the liberal elite. [...] for harboring roughly the same level of suspicion, fear, mistrust, distaste, and unease about whites as Derbyshire does about blacks, the essayist and blogger Ta-Nehisi Coates has found himself crowned America’s leading civic thinker. ... Coates repeatedly returns to an incident in which his son, at age four, was shoved on an escalator on the Upper West Side by a woman who said, “Come on.” Coates reacted angrily, which is understandable, but he also pushed another man who took the woman’s side, which...

The Father of the Progressive Left, Tony Campolo, passed away this evening at the age of 89. Campolo was a popular teacher, speaker, and sociologist who pastored several American Baptist Churches. He was perhaps best known for being the spiritual advisor to Bill Clinton and for founding the left-wing organization ‘Red-Letter Christians’ Movement 2007, with the help of Shane Claiborne and Sojourner’s Jim Wallis. Red-Letter Christians was envisioned to be a counter-movement to the political influence of conservative Christianity, advancing social justice by focusing on the words of Jesus (the red letters) frequently at the exclusions or depreciation of other...

A Washington woman is accused of bludgeoning her father to death with an ice axe — then was caught clapping about the murder because she was just so “happy” about it. Corey Burke allegedly stabbed Timothy Burke so badly, he had wounds deep enough to penetrate his lungs. The fatal crime allegedly unraveled all because former president Donald Trump won the most recent election. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie has the horrifying story out of Seattle.

The United States Men's National Team's (USMNT) social media team is taking fire from fans after a clip of Christian Pulisic's celebration, mimicking President-elect Donald Trump, was altered. During the USMNT's CONCACAF National League quarterfinal matchup against Jamaica, Pulisic scored the opening goal in the 13th minute, sending fans and his teammates into a frenzy. For his celebration, the 26-year-old did his version of Trump's 'Y.M.C.A.' dance, which featured him slowly bending over while pumping his fists. The original clip showed Pulisic doing the dance after the goal, which circulated on social media. However, when the USMNT's social media accounts...

President-elect Donald Trump is now privy to intelligence briefings at his Mar-a-Lago estate as he waits to officially come back to the White House — after promising to clean house at some of the executive branch agencies that dogged him during his first term. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) began to provide Trump, 78, with briefings after his decisive victory earlier this month against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Washington Post first reported. A spokesperson declined to tell The Post specifically whether Trump has received briefings, but confirmed, “ODNI is acting consistent with the tradition, in...

Alex Jones sued The Onion and Sandy Hook families over the ‘rigged’ auction of Infowars. As previously reported, The Onion purchased Infowars in a bankruptcy auction on Thursday with plans to turn it into a satire website — but the judge overseeing the case has ordered a hearing into how the satire website won. The legal team representing Jones has alleged that the auction was rigged at the last minute to allow The Onion to win — despite a seven-figure bid from Infowars allies. Infowars was not sold to the The Onion. I am breaking the news now. Please watch...

Multiple former and current DOJ and FBI officials are considering hiring lawyers “in anticipation of being criminally investigated” by the incoming Trump administration, three people with knowledge of their deliberations told NBC News. The preemptive initiative underscores a serious belief that President-elect Donald Trump will make good on his promise to purge the federal government of rogue and corrupt actors within the administrative state. Last week, Trump transition adviser Mark Paoletta warned DOJ career attorneys that subverting, undermining, or sabotaging Trump’s incoming agenda will be cause for termination. Paoletta cited examples of potential policies the DOJ might have to implement,...

The Four Paths for Matt Gaetz to Become the Next Attorney General There seems to be some confusion about how Matt Gaetz and Donald Trump's other controversial picks can be put into their roles Former Congressman Matt Gaetz is facing strong headwinds as Donald Trump’s pick for Attorney General. It’s not just the usual suspects like Democrats and legacy media. He’s being hit hard by some in both conservative media and Republican lawmakers in Washington, DC. Personally, I wholeheartedly support him for the role, and perhaps if it becomes necessary I’ll make the case for why I believe he’s ideal...

“Here are 82,345 ballot IDs, cast in the great state of (Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, pick one) each of which has come from an address that an official U.S. Government database says is ineligible. This election is being stolen!” That should have been the narrative on November 2 or 3, days before the steal! That narrative is so simple, so compelling, nobody would dare to screw Sam Brown and Kari Lake after votes are cast - because they proved IN ADVANCE- there were more than enough bullshit ballots in the system to challenge the election. You will notice none...

A Washington County judge has found a 33-year-old man guilty of sexually assaulting nine women, the District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday. Police arrested Ali Muhammed Quraishi in March 2023. Prosecutors said Quraishi met his victims between 2016 and 2023 while he was a dancer at the Silverado and Stag nightclubs in downtown Portland. They said he got them drunk and then lured them back to his Beaverton apartment where he had sex with them. Prosecutors said the women were in no condition to consent to the sex. The judge found Quraishi guilty for multiple crimes including rape, sexual abuse, assault...

With the advent of D.OG.E. we need to make some hard decisions. I don't care if it's my brother my mother my sister or anybody… If they work for the federal government and they are reaping off the system at the expense of taxpayers if there's a website that comes out that allows us to report people I will turn them in. I have a neighbor who has been sitting in his house for the last four years. The first excuse was that they had an older woman that was a receptionist that they didn't want to worry about getting...

Earlier, we told you about Speaker of the House Mike Johnson swatting down a gotcha question from the media about Representative-Elect Sarah McBride. McBride is a 'trans woman', which is a lot of words to say 'man', and is currently in the spotlight because Rep. Nancy Mace doesn't want McBride using the women's restrooms. Some people weren't happy with Johnson's less-than-clear answer on McBride, but hopefully this answer will allay their fears: SPEAKER JOHNSON: "Let me be unequivocally clear. A man is a man and a woman is a woman. And a man cannot become a woman." pic.twitter.com/jkSobuonXb — Breaking911...
