The USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier strike group will leave the eastern Mediterranean Sea, where it was sent just after the start of the Israel-Hamas war in October, in the "coming days," two U.S. officials tell ABC News. The Ford is the U.S. Navy's newest and largest aircraft carrier and was nearing the end of its first operational deployment when it was redirected to the eastern Mediterranean the day after Hamas terrorists launched an unprecedented surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7.

Christianity Today, under the purposeful leadership of Russell Moore, continues its slow descent into spiritual stupidity, outraging conservatives twice in one week (and getting social media traffic for the first time in forever) after first claiming that Jesus was Asian and now by suggesting there’s nothing wrong with using personal pronouns. In the article, The Christian Post recounts the termination of two professors from Houghton University, a private Christian University in New York associated with a conservative faction of the Wesleyan Church, for refusing to remove their personal pronouns from their email signatures, then delves into a lengthy discussion on...

A highly contagious infection that is spread through tiny particles of fecal matter has broken out in Portland - with officials warning that the homeless population are most at risk of catching the illness. Shigella is a bacteria that spreads through human feces. People transmit the infection after getting the microbes on their hands and then touching their mouths. People can also spread the intestinal infection through sexual intercourse. Multnomah County in Oregon has warned that homeless people and same-sex male partners are most at risk because of their lack of access to hygienic facilities. In the last month, 45...

Six unnamed co-conspirators of Donald Trump are likely to be indicted by Department of Justice (DOJ) special counsel Jack Smith, according to former federal prosecutor and legal analyst Glenn Kirschner on Saturday.Trump is currently contending with four criminal indictments at the state and federal levels, totaling 91 criminal charges in all. Among these cases is the federal one brought by the DOJ and Smith pertaining to Trump's alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, which ultimately led to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. Trump, the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, has maintained his innocence in the...

They are Israel’s dogs of war. The army’s canine unit is helping to map out Palestinian buildings before troops move in — and even take out hiding terrorists — while wearing bodycams and climbing through holes too small for humans, newly released video shows. Israel’s Oketz Unit, the military’s canine special forces, is dispatching its four-legged soldiers “in a large number of cases” to try to help save lives, the Times of Israel said in a report Sunday. “The dogs have located threats, mapped out buildings and discovered weapons,” Times of Israel correspondent Emanuel Fabian said on X. A canine...

First responders to massacre saw raped and abused bodies, but the rapidity of events – and cultural taboos – may leave the truth uncovered ... While Mr Otmazgin was collecting the bodies in the field, the Israel Defense Force’s (IDF’s) base receiving the corpses was already overflowing. Shari Mendes, an architect in civilian life, was one of many called up as a reservist to the military base of Shura to help identify and prepare for burial at speed under Jewish tradition. “Many young women arrived in bloody, shredded rags or just in underwear, and their underwear was often very bloody...

Considering how pessimistic Western analysts and policymakers have recently become about Ukraine’s chances in Russia’s imperialist war, Ukrainians should be even gloomier. They’re the ones doing the fighting and the dying. Russian missiles are destroying their country. Their people are the targets of the Kremlin’s genocidal urges. In fact, Ukrainians remain bullish about their country’s future. To be sure, not quite as bullish as a year ago, but bullish nonetheless.

Explanation: How did we get here? Click play, sit back, and watch. A computer simulation of the evolution of the universe provides insight into how galaxies formed and perspectives into humanity's place in the universe. The Illustris project exhausted 20 million CPU hours in 2014 following 12 billion resolution elements spanning a cube 35 million light years on a side as it evolved over 13 billion years. The simulation tracks matter into the formation of a wide variety of galaxy types. As the virtual universe evolves, some of the matter expanding with the universe soon gravitationally condenses to form filaments,...

A former economist for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has accused state officials of reprisals after he refused to lie about the financial impacts of the state’s new cap-and-trade program. Scott Smith has filed a whistleblower complaint claiming he was retaliated against by the State for not fudging the true cost of the cap-and-trade scheme on gas prices as Governor Jay Inslee was publicly accusing the fossil fuel industry of lying about the cost of the program. Smith has worked for WSDOT for the past five years, forecasting fuel consumption, pricing, and revenues from gas taxes and fees....

I had a discussion today with a church buddy, he was professing the fact that Nimrata was going to be the GOP choice for president. Back-and-forth banter took place. My thought is that her parents were NOT citizens at the time she was born, therefore she is not eligible. Similar to Obama. He also stated that anchor babies who are born in the United States are automatically US citizens. I disagree. Please help.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Sunday appeared to backtrack on earlier criticism of former President Trump’s actions on Jan. 6 and suggested instead that his presidential immunity defense was “a legitimate claim” as he moves forward with various court battles. In an interview on CBS News’s “Face the Nation,” Graham was pressed on whether he stands by his 2021 statement that Trump could still be prosecuted for wrongdoing and that “the president’s conduct is subject to the law of the land.”
  • Chicago Mayor reallocates $95 million from COVID relief for migrants, raising concerns about potential service cuts for residents in 2024.

In a stunning display of misplaced priorities, Chicago Mayor Johnson is once again raiding funds meant for residents’ services to cater to the escalating financial burden of migrants. The staggering cost, nearing $300 million this year alone, has prompted the mayor to divert $95 million from federal COVID relief funds, exacerbating the strain on Chicago’s already beleaguered residents.
