I've read all of William Forstchen's books, the first book of this series "One Second After" was a classic in my opinion, especially if you like the end of the world, apocalypse genre. His latest book is titled "Five Years After". I finished the book a couple of days, I don't want to give away any spoilers for anyone who hasn't read the book, I would say the book is worth the time and money, especially if you liked the other book in the series. The term DEEP STATE is certainly prevalent in this book. Those of you who have...

Multiple conservative critics condemned a recent James Bond novel for vilifying former President Trump and other conservative politicians in a story about a dastardly international plot against King Charles III. Author Charlie Higson had been authorized by Ian Fleming Publications, who own the rights to the James Bond franchise, to write a new book to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation. Higson touted that his new book, “On His Majesty’s Secret Service,” would feature “sex, violence, cars, a colorful villain with a nasty henchman, and of course, Bond himself, so well-known and yet so unknowable.” But in early September, conservative culture...

Is the Republican race for presidential nominee over before any votes are cast? Some people sure would like it to be. “It’s over!” Trump supporters declare with the assured enthusiasm of a Mets fan at spring training. This is our year! No unforeseen injuries will cripple our chances! We’re going all the way! A closer look at the numbers shows a ballgame very much in progress. There’s no doubt Trump is a unique political phenomenon. He makes people feel something. They vote with their heart for Trump. He’s magnetic. But just as magnets attract, they repel. Yes, Trump is polling...

Earlier this week, Klaus Schwab was given a platform at the ASEAN Summit, a meeting of Southeast Asian governments. He took the opportunity to promote the merging of state and corporate power. Why was the head of a non-governmental organisation which represents private corporate interests even there? The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (“ASEAN”) has ten Member States. As well as establishing “dialogue partners” with many other countries – including “comprehensive partnerships” with Australia, India and China – ASEAN has established partnerships with organisations such as the United Nations (“UN”) and UN Specialised Agencies. The ASEAN Summit, which is held...

If there’s one thing we can say about Joe Biden it’s that he’s a boastful jerk who can’t keep his mouth shut. Over the years, Dems and the media have tried to spin Joe’s arrogance into endearing “gaffes.” Let’s be clear — Joe is not a lovable guy who occasionally misspeaks; he’s an arrogant loudmouth who believes he’s better than everyone else. This character flaw has landed him in hot water multiple times. His blend of pathological lying, rude comments, and excessive bragging always backfires on him. Case in point: his on-camera boast about successfully pressuring Ukraine to fire Prosecutor...

Why are individuals who claim to be peaceful Muslims not distancing themselves from Imam Husham Al-Husainy and his anti-American and dangerous rhetoric, but rather endorsing and promoting it? In a remarkable display of power, nearly 5,000 Shia Muslims gathered in Dearborn, Michigan, to commemorate the 40th day of Imam Husayn (A.S) in a significant religious observance known as Chehlum or Arbaeen. This event, which takes place 40 days after Ashura, commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, during the Battle of Karbala. Dearborn, often referred to as the Arab capital of North America, has...

Even things like the consumer’s “preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes” are tracked, shared, and sold. Vehicle manufacturers are now tracking and storing some very personal data inside the car’s internal computers, including things like if you have sex inside the car and even your unique genetics. As highlighted by popular YouTuber Louis Rossman, a staunch right-to-repair advocate, highlighted how vehicles are becoming more and more invasive in what they are collecting on drivers and passengers. (snip) Mozilla did not mince words when giving their judgment on Nissan’s privacy policy. The group wrote: We’re not...

A new COVID variant is circulating. Flu season is about to begin. Respiratory syncytial virus (known as RSV) is becoming a greater cause of hospitalizations. But this fall, something is different. The country has new vaccines for COVID, influenza and RSV, the three fall respiratory viruses that hospitalize and kill hundreds of thousands annually. “Go get those vaccines and it will make a dramatic difference in your getting sick this winter,” Dr. Ashish Jha, former White House COVID response coordinator, told NPR. “We are going to be dealing with respiratory viruses forever but we are getting better at building treatments...

There was no social media post on X from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about this little piece of news. Same goes from Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault or former Environment Minister Catherine McKenna. But police in Quebec have charged a man with arson for several allegedly deliberately set fires in northern Quebec in what was a major criminal investigation that could be the stuff of movies. It’s an inconvenient truth that is not getting as much attention as plumes of smoke that filled the air and skylines of major cities like New York, Montreal and Toronto in June. “We’re seeing more...

Give me liberty or give me subclinical myocarditis. Nearly a million legal immigrants became American citizens last year, the third-highest number in history. One angle missing from the news coverage: Every single one of those immigrants was required, as a precondition of citizenship, to get a Covid booster. The Immigration and Nationality Act and related federal regulations were designed from a reasonable public health perspective to require immunization against “vaccine-preventable diseases.” However, this regulation has since been expanded to require immunization with any product recommended by CDC guidance, whether or not it prevents disease at all and regardless of any...

Ukraine war shows NATO is ill-prepared to defend even its own territories while massive weapons expenditure exposes US in Asia-Pacific While the causes for war vary, inevitably a war becomes a testing ground for technology, battlefield tactics and strategy. The war in Ukraine is no different, in fact, in some ways, it is a poster child for changes in modern warfare. Unfortunately for NATO, it is also a harbinger of bad news. While it is perfectly true that Ukraine lacked suitable air power and should never have put itself in a position to be attacked by Russia, it did so...
