Marin County prosecutors have dropped a felony vandalism case against five demonstrators who destroyed a religious statue outside the historic mission in San Rafael. Instead, the prosecution reduced the charges to misdemeanors and offered the defendants diversion, which will allow the case to be dismissed entirely if they meet certain conditions.

One of the latest discoveries in the world of biblical research comes as a result of ultraviolet light technology that allowed researchers to see and translate a portion of scripture written nearly 1,500 years ago.Historian Grigory Kessel from the Austrian Academy of Sciences published his work at Cambridge and explained how the new technology has provided more insight into the preservation of scripture:Kissel said that they found an ancient version of Chapter 12 in the book of Matthew in the Bible that had been hidden beneath a section of text for over 1,500 years. His discovering is one of the...

Powers that could potentially plunge Britain, the US and Australia into lockdown at the whim of the World Health Organization sparked fury today.Sweeping powers being considered by the UN agency would force all member states — including Britain, the US and Australia — to comply with any rules enacted during pandemics.Such measures could include ones that were deployed to thwart the spread of Covid, such as vaccine passports and border closures.

President Volodymyr Zelensky has heaped praise on Joe Biden over his continued support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia. Giving a surprise address to students graduating from Johns Hopkins University, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke highly of his allies in the United States government and the Biden administration. Since Russia’s invasion of the country, the Democrat-run government has committed tens of billions of dollars in weapons, ammunition and equipment to the country, with the latest package of so-called military “aid” being announced only last week.

Former President Donald Trump's staff moved boxes the day before a June 2022 visit to his Mar-a-Lago residence by the FBI and a federal prosecutor, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to CBS News. Trump's team was aware of the scheduled June 2022 visit, and held a so-called dress rehearsal for the visit ahead of time, the source told CBS News. The Washington Post first reported the movement of the documents. It's unclear exactly what the boxes contained.

The Department of Justice is investigating whether expensive gifts were given to New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez and his wife, including a Mercedes-Benz, a luxury D.C. apartment, money and jewelry, sources familiar with the matter said. According to sources, investigators want to know if the gifts — which would be valued in the tens of thousands of dollars — came from the owner or associates of an Edgewater, N.J., business that won a controversial exclusive contract to perform Halal meat certification with the Egyptian government — even though U.S. Department of Agriculture officials complained that the firm had no previous...

Below is my column in the New York Post on the most recent whistleblower coming forward to publicly accuse the Biden Administration of “slow walking” the investigation of Hunter Biden. The source of the interference with the IRS investigation, according to Gary Shapley, was the Department of Justice. It is the latest chapter in the story of “The Incredibly Shrinking Merrick Garland.” Here is the column: “I don’t want to do any of this.” Those words from 14-year IRS veteran Gary Shapley may be the most important line in his CBS News interview this week. After weeks of Democrats dismissing...

MOSCOW, May 10 — President Vladimir V. Putin today directed the Russian Parliament to adopt a 10-year program to stop Russia's sharply declining population, principally by offering financial incentives and subsidies to encourage Russian women to have more children.Mr. Putin's instructions, issued to a compliant Parliament that follows his orders almost without fail, formed the center of his annual address, and signaled a new Kremlin priority to confront a problem that demographers and scholars have warned endangers the long-term future of the Russian state.Instead, he took up the cause of fertility. "I propose a program that would promote the birthrate,...

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) said he is “very frustrated” over the state of debt ceiling talks and questioned why President Biden is continuing to negotiate with what the congressman called “economic terrorists” in the Republican party. “I called on the president to invoke the 14th Amendment and mint a coin and do not negotiate with hostage takers,” Bowman told CNN’s Manu Raju on Thursday. “I mean, we don’t negotiate with terrorists globally. Why are we gonna negotiate with the economic terrorists here that are the Republican Party?” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said earlier this week that some Republicans do not...
  • Supreme Court limits regulation of some US wetlands, making it easier to develop and destroy them

The U.S. Supreme Court has stripped federal agencies of authority over millions of acres of wetlands, weakening a bedrock environmental law enacted a half-century ago to cleanse the country’s badly polluted waters. A 5-4 majority significantly expanded the ability of farmers, homebuilders and other developers to dig up or fill wetlands near rivers, lakes and streams, finding the government had long overreached in limiting such activities. The ruling Thursday may nullify key parts of a rule the Biden administration imposed in December, which two federal judges already had blocked from being enforced in 26 states. It’s the latest turn in...

And so, the worst month of the year begins. June—the month of the Sacred Heart—has been taken over by perversion. The love that dares not speak its name screams all month long in our faces. You cannot get away. Rainbows everywhere. You are tempted to stay inside, lower the shades, like the three days of darkness, praying for the demons to pass by. You can count on seeing their anti-Christian hate rainbow everywhere. There will be a rainbow sticker on the ATM at the bank. You want cash? You get the rainbow, too.

(Last Updated On: May 23, 2023) NATIONAL BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE DAY | MAY 26 On May 26th, two of the calendar’s favorite foods come together on National Blueberry Cheesecake Day. We’ve scattered blueberries and cheesecakes throughout these pages in scrumptious celebration. But one day a year they join forces in perfect, delicious harmony. #BlueberryCheesecakeDay History of Blueberries and Cream Cheese There was a time when people only gathered blueberries from the wild. It wasn’t until the early 1900s through the observations of Elizabeth Coleman White and the research of Dr. Frederick V. Coville that successful transplanting and domestication of the blueberry...

MILLER LITE CARB DAY Friday, May 26 at 11:00am on Peacock network. A bit of history: For those that don't know Carb Day was the last chance to make any final adjustments to the engine fuel mixture and tuneup back in the days when the cars still used Carburetors before Fuel Injection replaced them. It was also the last chance for making any changes and adjustments to the cars. These days it is the last chance to fine tune the setup of the car's suspension, make sure that the drivetrain has no leaks or other problems before Sunday's Indy 500....

The law firm Alliance Defending Freedom announced in a statement Monday that it had filed a lawsuit on behalf of Jessica Bates, “a [widowed] single mother of five wishing to adopt siblings from foster care.” As noted by the law firm, Bates “seeks to adopt a sibling pair, who are generally harder to place.” The lawsuit follows the Oregon Department of Human Services’ refusal to grant Bates the certification required to become an adoptive parent after she informed the state that her religious beliefs prevented her from complying with a state law requiring prospective adoptive parents to “respect, accept and...

Damn it, Janet (Yellen)! So much for Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen’s proclamtion that inflation is transitory and would subside to under 2%. April’s core inflation (PCE Deflator) rose to 4.7% YoY. Despite M2 Money growth crashing to -4.6% YoY. Today’s Fed Funds Futures data is pointing to another rate hike or two. With Core PCE at 4.7%, the Taylor Rule suggested Fed Funds Target rate is now 10.57%. So, The Fed is only about half way there.

Patients who took the pill daily, along with lifestyle changes, lost a lot more weight than those on a placebo. Novo Nordisk has announced positive results for a new trial of a weight loss pill for obesity. The drug, called semaglutide, is currently sold as injections for treating diabetes and obesity, under the brand names Ozempic and Wegovy. It has exploded in popularity lately for its ability to help people shed weight, sometimes dramatically. In the new trial, patients on a daily oral dose of semaglutide saw a 15.1% reduction in their weight, compared to 2.4% in the placebo group...

Climate protesters in the U.K. blocked traffic in London on Tuesday, grinding the city to a halt and prompting so much anger that commuters attacked them. Just Stop Oil protesters organized several marches across the city, aiming to disrupt traffic. The protests occurred at a number of bridges, including the Tower and London bridges, according to TMX News. The protest reiterated the group’s demands for Britain to immediately stop all new oil and gas production, usually employing a number of provocative protests that involve the destruction of famous art or private property to gain attention and outrage the public.
