Convinced that the people who commit crimes are the real victims, Democrats in the nation’s biggest cities are urging everyone else to get used to living with criminals. In San Francisco, John Hamasaki, former San Francisco police commissioner and unsuccessful Democratic Party-endorsed progressive candidate for the City’s district attorney job, chastised a man for complaining about thieves who smashed his car window and stole a laptop computer and passport, saying “I wonder if living in the suburbs has softened him so much that he can no longer enjoy the authentic urban experience of being robbed?” In Los Angeles, the rail...

Friday’s proposed rule looks to change the FDA’s “standards of identity” (SOI) for over 20 items, ranging from cheese to cereal flour. The proposed rule uses a “horizontal” approach to updating the SOIs. This means that the proposed rule would affect multiple SOIs and apply across various foods and categories of foods. Specifically – 80 SOIs that specify salt as a required or an optional ingredient.would be amended under the FDA’s proposal....

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

Some feel DeSantis needs to accelerate his timeline to run for the GOP presidential nomination and begin directly confronting Trump if he's to have any chance of thwarting the former president’s momentum. Others believe DeSantis should sidestep Trump altogether and wait until 2028 to run. “They liked him — many of them might even support him,” the person who was at the event said of DeSantis....
