Hey, SG - Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it! : )
Feel free to swip & repost pics at will - mi fotos es su fotos, or some such... my favorite Holly pic is where she is “reaching out” in friendship to the beautiful Russian musician... hahahaha.... And, as much as I trust/admire my buddy Glenn at militarycorruption.com, I am not so sure on that lesbian sisterhood thing. I think it’s more a case of Holly’s superior officers doing a CYA to hide the fact that they promoted her to be politically correct. She could not have earned all those glowing FitReps. Nope, not at all. And yes, I still lean toward that deception theory. Heh, heh...

Now, as for that medal-wearing candidate: Good Lord! I will keep trying to reach her, but I suspect you are right. Sigh...

It would appear that Holly and Connie are city from the same cloth. Connie even brought in liberal general (retired) Claudia Kennedy to do a fundraiser for her in 2008. Kennedy is a big liberal - supports gays in the military, women in combat, among other things. The photo below is of Pillich and Kennedy from that event. Photobucket

They mean nothing without the orders to back them up.

I was at a ceremony at The Wall when Kennedy was a speaker. During her speech, she inexplicably screamed, YOU GO, GIRL! I think it had to do with the accomplishments of women in the military, which are considerable, but no one could quite figure out what her comment had to do with Vietnam veterans. Um... the nurses were awesome, but I don’t recall any female infantry or combat units in that war... I came away from the speech thinking she was something of a dingaling. So now she is chilling with Connie, huh? And notice something interesting about that pic? The retired general is wearing a plain suit. The politician is wearing a chestfull of medals - illegally - and Kennedy still poses with her.

The 9th Circut Court of Appeals might rule that lying about ones military record isn't a crime, but that won't stop me from pointing it out to everyone if some person is lying!

If this person is lying, shout it from the rooftops!!!

Some friends of mine have requested FOIA information on Connie Pillich's service. The claims made on her website appear to check out (separated as USAF O-3, 7 1/2 years active duty, AF Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf clusters, Occupation Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award with two Oak Leaf clusters, and so on).

However, there doesn't appear to be any justification for the extra ten ribbons that she recently began wearing.

That’s the problem. She was in the Air Force and she did earn the ribbons she sports in 2006. However, follow the photographs and it appears her imagination takes over.

Like I said, what in the wide wide world of sports are all those extra ribbons that suddenly sprouted after she got elected to office?

And why in the name of Pete does she wear them around like she’s some sort of combat general?

The California ruling (Xavier Alvarez) doesn’t help matters...

The highest medal in the group is the AF Commendation Medal (with two oak leaf clusters) which is usually awarded to a junior officer at the end of each tour who has shown up for duty every day and performed competently.

The other ribbons or awards are essentially given out for drawing breath and being in a certain unit at a certain time. A lay person would not know this and would see the mass of ribbons and be wowed. A veteran would not be impressed.

Just to et the record straight. The medals she is wearing are as follows:

Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters
Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 2 oak leaf clusters
Army of Occupation Medal
National Defense Service Medal
Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon
Air Force Longevity Ribbon
Air Force Markmanship Ribbon
Air Force Training Ribbon

These medals are “authorized USAF decorations” and they are worn in the proper order.

The rest of the medals are Commemorative Medals that are not authorized for wear on military uniforms and are available from various organizations.

Air Force Outstanding Unit Award Commemorative Medal
American Defense Service Commemorative Medal
Liberation of Kuwait Commemorative Medal
Cold War Victry Commemorative Medal
Overseas Service Commemorative Medal
NATO Service Commemorative Medal
Air Force Service Commemorative Medal
Honorable Service Commemorative Medal
National Guard and Reserve Commemorative Medal
Armed Forces Expert Marksman Commemorative Medal

She is not prohibited from wearing these additional medals. And she wears her “official medals” in a higher position of authority.

bmbdub has no idea what he’s talking about and obviously hasn’t read through all the posts. He’s a democratic party operative trying to do damage control.

Those “commemorative medals” he is referring to are misidentified on purpose. Example; she has never claimed to have been in the middle east, so if she’s wearing a Kuwait liberation medal it would clearly be wrong.

So, please tell us which title goes with which bogus ribbon she’s sporting.

Hurry, because at the rate her ribbon rack is growing (almost tippling since she left the service) we might need to keep updating this posting on a weekly basis.

Sir,
Before you insult me—no wait. Since you've already insulted me, shall I pass judgement on you?

Rather, I will continue to state the obvious. She is a veteran like the rest of us (supposedly), and is entitled to her official medals and ribbons, which she does wear in the correct order and before her “unofficial commemorative medals.”

I didn't think I needed to state this but since you began your post with a direst insult to me I will have to spell it out for you. Shall I use BIG CAPITAL LETTERS so you can understand?

She is only trying to make herself appear as a more heroic veteran in the eyes of the public. Does she really think we are that stupid to be duped by an obvious charlatan?

All I was trying do to was answer the questions this forum had regarding those commemorative medals that no one had identifed. I was just trying to set the record. Instead of directing your anger at me try directing at her now that you what each and every “medal” is that she wears.....
