Maryland’s highest court ruled that Washington, D.C.-area sniper Lee Boyd Malvo has to be resentenced due to U.S. Supreme Court decisions on constitutional protections for juveniles made after his sentencing. Malvo had been sentenced to six life sentences without the possibility of parole. He was 17 at the time of the murders. The Maryland Court of Appeals said it is unlikely that Malvo would ever be released because he is also serving separate life sentences for murders in Virginia. “As a practical matter, this may be an academic question in Mr. Malvo’s case, as he would first have to be...

Imagine firing a gun and taking out a sniper so far away that the bullet takes 3 seconds to arrive, traveling at supersonic speed. With one shot! But an unnamed British SAS Special Forces sniper is reported to have done just that. The UK Daily Star has the story: The long-range shot took place almost two weeks ago as part of a counter-sniper operation during the battle for the Iraqi city of Mosul. The SAS soldier, a sergeant who was a veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, hit the Iraqi in the throat as he left a burned-out...

"This map compares the population of Northern Virginia with that of Southwest Virginia and the rest of the state, and shows a significant change over the past century. In 1920, the combined population of area “A”, or the three Virginia counties furthest to the southwest (the counties of Lee, Scott and Wise–the independent city of Norton did not exist), was 96,569. The combined population of area “C”, or the Northern Virginia region (the city of Alexandria and the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William–the independent cities of Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park did not exist), was...

VALE – More than a dozen police officers were searching for an armed man in the high desert hills on the Harney-Malheur County line Tuesday afternoon after a theft at a local ranch went awry. Travis Johnson, Malheur County undersheriff, said deputies from the Harney County Sheriff’s Office and the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office along with the Oregon State Police are pursuing an unidentified man who stole a tractor and a side-by-side recreational vehicle from a ranch north of Harper early Tuesday morning. Johnson said the incident began at about 3:40 a.m. when a man driving a stolen pickup truck...

And if they think they can get away with SHOOTING at our Border Patrol, then we have no choice but to take them out by any means necessary. @BillMelugin_ did a FANTASTIC report from the area about a year ago, outlining just how brazen and violent the cartels are there. They totally control the Mexican side of the border.

Many Bay Area residents feel free keeping their masks on. Across the Bay Area, people are still wearing their masks — and many say it’s because other people are doing it

It’s not surprising to Michel Courtoy, of Saratoga, that people are still being careful. Courtoy walked around Santana Row without a mask because he now feels he has “the freedom to make my own decisions and act in a way I feel appropriate.” Still, Courtoy wears his mask inside stores and when a majority of people around him are wearing one. It’s not out of “social pressure.” It’s a sign of “respect for other people.” “I think if a majority of people in a confined space indoors stop wearing them, I feel I’ll follow the group,” Courtoy said. “But it’s...

The sniper is an incredibly efficient fighter, compared to the typical infantryman. Consider that in World War II, American infantry units fired 25,000 rounds to kill just one enemy soldier. By the Korean War, that figure jumped to 50,000 rounds, and the select-fire M14 and M16 infantry rifles of the Vietnam War only seem to have produced more misses, requiring the expenditure of 200,000 rounds to kill one enemy combatant. It is ironic that a country built on a tradition of rifle marksmanship took nearly 200 years to formally embrace the sniper, the man that represents the military apex of...

God bless Chris Kyle for everything he did for us, and God dam you, Michael Moore, for all you stand for Maybe you are one of the lucky ones who has already seen the blockbuster and one of the all-time box-office record holders, American Sniper – Clint Eastwoods’ film adaptation of the life of Christopher Scott “Chris” Kyle, released on December 2014. Kyle, is considered to be the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history, while accumulating 160 confirmed kills, out of 255 probably kills. As a matter of record, I would also like to commend Eastwoods’ proactive choice of...

Sniper-Smearing in Hollywood

Clint Eastwood's movie "American Sniper" dominated the box office race over the long Martin Luther King weekend with a gross of $103.5 million. That's more than twice as high as the previous January opening weekend record. It received a rare "A+" CinemaScore from people who saw it, suggesting word-of-mouth will be wildly positive. This movie wasn't very controversial -- until, that is, the film earned six Oscar nominations and had that amazing weekend at the box office. That's when the hostility erupted from leftist Hollywood types on Twitter, hell-bent on pushing back against the wave. Radical director Michael Moore slammed...

One of the automatic weapons used by so called, "counter snipers" at the Waco Twin Peaks biker shooting incident is apparently a 'ghost gun'. The serial number used to identify the weapon in the forensic ballistic reports does NOT exist per Colt Firearms serial number search. Both of the two Remington sniper rifles were in the serial number data base of Remington Bushmaster firearms.

By the time you read this, director Clint Eastwood’s blockbuster about the late warrior Chris Kyle will have become the top-grossing war-themed film of all time in North America. And that box office success has exposed the stark contrast between an American audience starved for patriotic Hollywood fare on the one hand, and a radical left viciously trying to maintain control of their narrative on the other.

We’ve got a little test for you. Can you find the sniper in the video before he gets a shot off at you? We’ve found a good test for you today. The following clip has a sniper hidden somewhere in the woods and waiting to take the shot. Your challenge is to find the sniper before it’s too late and he manages to squeeze the trigger and take the shot. Will you survive? A good sniper like this one is only seen if you happen to be looking right near the weapon at the time the shot is fired, and...

My review of "American Sniper"

We saw "American Sniper" last night. My wife and I went with a group of about a dozen other military parents (Navy, Marine Corps, Army). This is not a typical "war movie" in that it explores one man's journey from civilian life into the military community into war (four tours in Iraq) and then explores his difficult re-entry into civilian life. So, in a way, the movie is about the family and community of the as much as it is about Chris Kyle. There are aspects of the movie that some will dismiss as trite or jingoistic: Kyle's father instructing...
