The creators of the irreverent animated television series “South Park” are buying Casa Bonita, a quirky restaurant in suburban Denver that was featured on the show. Matt Stone and Trey Parker said in an interview with Colorado Gov. Jared Polis on Friday that they had come to an agreement with the current owners of the restaurant, which closed to diners in March 2020 as the pandemic took hold. It declared bankruptcy in the spring. “We’re excited to work with everybody and make it the place we all want to make it,” Parker said. The Lakewood restaurant has been in business...

The creators of “South Park” made a major announcement this morning during a conversation with Gov. Jared Polis – they’re in the process of buying Casa Bonita. Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said that they wanted to buy the iconic restaurant in the past, but the owner had reported that he was focused on reopening and not looking to sell at the moment. “As of about an hour ago, pending bankruptcy proceedings that have to happen in a couple of months, we’ve come to an agreement with the owner and we bought it,” Stone said.

Chaotic protests have erupted across the country after former president Jacob Zuma was handed a 15-month jail term last week for failing to appear at a corruption inquiry. At least 75 people have died and more than 1,200 arrested as the country's consumer goods body estimated more than 800 shops had been ransacked. Many of the deaths were caused by stampedes as thousands of people raided shops, stealing food, electrical appliances, alcohol and clothes, cops said. Shocking images showed hundreds of people running towards a warehouse on Wednesday and tearing through containers as the violence battered the country for a...

President Biden embarrassed himself at the G-7 summit when he tried to correct British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for not introducing “the president of South Africa” — even though Johnson already did so by name. The blooper — one of several Biden made amid the series of meetings with world leaders — prompted laughter at his expense at the start of a roundtable discussion in Cornwall, England. The awkward incident took place on Saturday, according to Sky News, which posted a video clip and a transcript online. After mentioning how the visiting dignitaries had brought “some pretty spectacular weather with...

Last year South Dakota welcomed President Trump to Mount Rushmore on the 4th of July. The President shared a historic speech and then fireworks ended the day. This year the Democrats want none of it. Joe Biden is unable to make the trip and deliver a speech in his mental and physical state. Because of this, they will punish South Dakota for their patriotic display last year. The Washington Examiner reported yesterday: The National Park Service denied a request from South Dakota to host another July Fourth fireworks display at Mount Rushmore following a controversial Independence Day in 2020 attended...

Nine people have died after getting flu shots in South Korea in the past week, raising concerns over the vaccine’s safety just as the seasonal inoculation programme is expanded to head off potential COVID-19 complications. Five new deaths were reported on Wednesday (Oct 21) alone, but authorities had no plans to suspend the vaccination programme, unless investigations, including post mortems, revealed a link, which preliminary findings had not. “We have reviewed whether it is appropriate to continue the vaccination or better to suspend and wait for the results,” health official Kim Joong-gon told a briefing. “We came to the conclusion...

Chicago’s investigative police oversight agency released video Thursday showing a man being fatally shot by police Sept. 5 after he was hit with a Taser and lunged at a sergeant with a butcher knife. The Civilian Office of Police Accountability released several body camera videos and 911 recordings related to the shooting in Vittum Park in the Southwest Side’s Garfield Ridge community as part of the city’s video release policy, which requires that video and other evidence be released to the public within 60 days of shootings involving officers. Chicago Lawn District officers were called to the area about 1:40...

South Park is going to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in a big way. Comedy Central announced Tuesday a one-hour special episode of the iconic animated series devoted to the coronavirus crisis. A trailer for the episode shows Randy Marsh announcing some sort of "pandemic special" attempting to cash in on the crisis, Cartman worrying about authorities trying to make him return to school, Kyle fretting about social distancing and a scene with the kids in a classroom encased in protective cubicles with a police detective as their new teacher. The official description: "Randy comes to terms with his role in...

New York City, the metropolitan area hardest hit by the domestic coronavirus outbreak, is losing residents at an unprecedented clip, according to local moving companies. Roadway Moving President Ross Sapir, for example, told FOX Business that people are moving out of Manhattan in numbers he has “never seen before,” as his company deals with its busiest season since its 2008 inception. “It’s insane … I’ve never seen such growth,” Sapir said. “[Business is] double or triple compared to any other season as far as moving out of the city.”

On Wednesday, South Park illustrated the absurdity of allowing men who identify as women into female athletic competitions, in a way only South Park can, in the episode titled "Strong Woman." PC Principal's girlfriend and mother of his PC Babies, Vice Principal Strong Woman, sought to defend her title at the Strong Woman Competition, but not all went as planned when a trans athlete in the mold of former WWF wrestler Macho Man joined in and beat up on the competition: Perry: Now, this is the first year that a trans woman is in the competition. As PJ Media's Stephen Kruiser wrote on Thursday, American popular culture is getting choked by wokeness. Social justice warriors have complained about a Friends reboot, Director Todd Phillips quit comedy as liberal scoldings mounted, Disney Plus has a bizarre "not woke" warning before old movies, and Ellie Goulding is threatening not to sing for Dallas Cowboys because LGBT activists can't handle Salvation Army being Christian.Unfazed, South Park has made one of its most offensive and most drop-dead hilarious episodes yet. The TV show dared to mock the increasingly taboo subject of males entering women's sports by claiming to identify as transgender....

South Park's newest episode, "Let Them Eat Goo" which aired Wednesday, mocks LeBron James and his lack of defense of free speech in the current crisis of Hong Kong against China. The episode concentrates on diets and plant-based foods, and on the students at South Park's public school who are protesting the unhealthy food they are being fed, especially meat from animals. A small group of protestors manages to convince the school to start serving healthy food, and when Eric Cartman discovers this he hyperventilates to the point of needing a defibrillator because he wants meat. After he is discharged...

“South Park” content has reportedly been scrubbed off the internet in China after a controversial episode critical of Chinese censorship and the detention of Muslim minorities. The Hollywood Reporter noted on Monday that Chinese government censors have begun deleting every clip, episode and online platform of the show from its highly-regulated internet. Searches on the social media site Weibo turn up zero “South Park” content. Links to episodes and full seasons of the Comedy Central show on streaming service Youku are dead, according to the outlet. A message reading "According to the relevant law and regulation, this section is temporarily...
