And who's PIOS is that? Jesus HIMSELF says "it is finished" and you attribute the mass to some "church father's" PIOS.
"Jesus died once, in one place, yet the Sacrifice, as the Bible clearly states here, is on-going, in every place...
Again, who's PIOS is this? A clean sacrifice and oblation is also referred to as the prayers, praises and holy conversation of the saints in living a life that has been changed(i.e. spiritually born again) by the faith in believing of Jesus' sacrifice at Calvary (for them specifically, thus personal) and Jesus' Resurection and victory over death, sin, sickness, the devil and the world (that is now available to that same saint/believer)!
In Acts, 13:2 we read the how the nascent Christian Catholic Church fulfills the promises of Malachias, "And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting..." Jesus had already ascended into Heaven, so this "ministering" is the Christian Mass (Lev 21:17-23)which is the action of Jesus applies to those living the fuits of Grace won on the Cross at Calvary<>
Ministering and Sacrifice unto the Lord covers a lot of activity. Song, Praise, Testimony of His power working in your life, Preaching His word, Prayer, Prophecy, Tithes ... all done out of a pure and holy(i.e. changed heart) to the glory of God.
Here is the bottom line to all of the debate. Changed lives. From sinner to saint by the power of God. If you are looking for clear commands from Jesus it is to be holy. To stop sinning! I was a RC for 35 years of my life. I received all of the RC sacraments except "Holy Orders" and " "Extreme Unction". Did it stop my sinning and bring me closer to God? Well, no it did not. I was a WRETCH!(a very "respectable", "religious" and "self-righteous" one no less). I (me personally) had to lay down my life "by the mercies of God, and present my body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is my reasonable service."(Romans 12:1)
The correct PIOS will always yield the fruit of righteousness, holiness and obedience unto the Lord.
