Thank you for posting. I have over the last year come to a real appreciation of the EO faith. It is nice to read and learn the way other churches see things .
I was surprised how similar the Eastern Orthodox was with the Orthodox Calvinists on this topic..

"Similar" -- Until we get to soteriology, that is. The Eastern Orthodox are not always "sweetness and light", sad to say.
- Dr. Alexandre Kalomiros ("The River of Fire") declares that the Western Church (both Protestant and Roman) has been "poisoned" and "drowned" by its doctrines Augustinian Sovereignty. I.E., we are "poisoners and drowners of the true church"... well, gee -- isn't that nice of him to say (grin).
- Well, then -- I say instead that Kalomiros' Eastern "church" has been "poisoned" and "drowned" by its doctrines of Maximian (pelagian) Humanism!!
The Eastern Church is to be credited for rejecting the false claims of the Papacy, but they earn themselves no "kudo points" for rejecting Biblical Doctrine.
