It's right out of the "book of love" though:
Leviticus 20:27 A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones; their blood shall be upon them.

I'll agree with that. Still, it is good to understand the other sub-cultures in the US that do believe in this kind of thing. I think it motivates a lot of the political discussions in DC, for example.

Well, technically, aren't menstruating women supposed to live in a shed, also on pain of death? Gosh, the bible is so much fun!!

What do you believe in ?
To: AmericaUnited
I don't have a big problem with the
Jefferson bible. I just don't like supernatural explanations, aesthetically or logically.

So you like a book about Jesus, but don't like "supernatural stuff". I guess if you take away Jesus supernatural birth, miracles, resurrection, etc., He's ok with you.
That's just very funny!

Well, for example, I like the parable of the good samaritan quite a lot. It shows that strict adherence to rules should not result in a man's death. I think that this is a lesson everyone needs to relearn every once in a while.

Odd, he has Biblical references for many of the cartoon panels, but none for the one where Samantha kneesl and pyars ...
To: Gladwin
Hey, did Samantha burn her house down? That's what it looks like. I don't think that's a very responsible thing to teach young people!
To: Jeff Chandler
I believe that is a good old fashioned book burning.

Oh, good. I'm relieved. Wait a minute. Were the books inside the house when she burned them?

What are you doing with a Bible? I thought you were an atheist?
To: Gladwin
People actually believe this guy and/or his type of vitriol, too. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter either (his "moral" universe is screwy), but this is the least of his garbage.

What are you doing with a Bible? I thought you were an atheist? Funny how the questions change, but yet stay the same. They used to ask, "What are you doing with a Bible? I thought you were a Catholic?" :-)
