Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed,
Magnificent,
and Blessed
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Present and True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious,
to Span the Millennia,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know the End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from the End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY.

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Names and Titles of God (Mediator) 1 Timothy 2:5

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

King James Version

Something truly bizarre happened at the Republican National Convention this year. On the first night of the convention, the Keynote Address was delivered by the President of the Teamsters Union, Sean M. O'Brien.

Whatever side you are on, you have to admit this was pretty weird. Even the speaker remarked about how strange it was that a Teamster would be speaking at the Republican convention. Although his speech quickly morphed into his own agenda, it was extraordinary that he had the opportunity to address this particular crowd.

Not only that, the crowd was unusually polite for this man who epitomized an opposite viewpoint.

One has to wonder. Who was the guy (or gal) who approached O'Brien with the idea that he would be the Keynote Speaker the first night of the RNC? Who was the one who took a huge risk to approach a traditional "enemy", and propose that this "enemy" have an opportunity to address what could have been a hostile crowd of 20,000 people? I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for THAT meeting!

This entire scenario was complicated by the fact that just two days earlier, there was an Assassination Attempt on the Presumptive Republican Candidate for President. Emotions were raw, vigilance was heightened, and everybody was on edge. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?"

And yet, we are here only a week later, and O'Brien's speech has been largely forgotten. But I STILL wonder who that "mediator" was!

The role of a "Mediator" can be very dangerous. He has to be willing to be rejected by either side, and may even have to risk death or disgrace in the role. He has to be friendly to both sides, and yet accept the fact that he may end up being despised and rejected by BOTH. He has to be respected as somebody who has "Walked the Walk", not just "Talked the Talk".

Human mediators are usually tasked to negotiate between two equal parties: a husband and wife, an employer and an employee, or two parties in a civil suit. The mediator is not supposed to be partial, but to listen to both sides patiently.

Jesus is a different kind of Mediator. On one side is the Eternal, Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Totally Righteous and Just Creator of the Universe. On the other side is...me.

Scripture states that "There is ONE Mediator between God and Man". Nobody else is qualified. Nobody else can approach God to plead for a hopeless sinner. Nobody Else was tempted in every way we are, but did not sin. Nobody else died with the Sins Of The World on His Shoulders, and Rose Again, ascending to Heaven to make Daily Intercession for Us.

That's the kind of Mediator I need.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 115

1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,
for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness.
2 Why should the nations say,
‘Where is their God?’

3 Our God is in the heavens;
he does whatever he pleases.
4 Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
5 They have mouths, but do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6 They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7 They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
they make no sound in their throats.
8 Those who make them are like them;
so are all who trust in them.

9 O Israel, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.
11 You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord!
He is their help and their shield.

12 The Lord has been mindful of us; he will bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron;
13 he will bless those who fear the Lord,
both small and great.

14 May the Lord give you increase,
both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

16 The heavens are the Lord’s heavens,
but the earth he has given to human beings.
17 The dead do not praise the Lord,
nor do any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord
from this time on and for evermore.
Praise the Lord!

Amen. This is the truth. It divides my mostly Roman Catholic family who waste a lot of time praying to a “mediatrix.”
