IF and when you find yourself as interested in God’s prophetic timetable as you do in “a really good USC-Notre Dame game the following October.” Maybe then you’ll find yourself at a crossroad between what it means for Salvation rather than mocking God’s Word! Am I suggesting that a Christian is required to fully understand escology [sic] in order to be saved? No, not at all. What I am suggesting is that a TRUE Christian would not mock His return in any manner, let alone comparing the Biblical event to that of a game!!

Harold Camping said that the world would end on May 21, 2011. Can you quote me a passage in the Bible--book, chapter and verse--which specifically states that the world shall end on that specific date? If not, then assertions like this deserve to be mocked.

By the way, that was a great game, so I'm glad the world didn't end the previous May.

Response:

For one thing, I don’t know who Harold Camping is, or was. Since he apparently passed away then he has not commented on this thread.

If encouraging the Brethren that Jesus is coming soon is bothersome to you, then you might want to check your brand of belief at the door rather than muddling up the Hope of others.
