and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together,
against the LORD
and against His Anointed One
“Let us break Their chains
and cast away Their cords.”
The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord taunts them.
Then He rebukes them in His anger,
and terrifies them in His fury:
“I have installed My King on Zion,
upon My holy mountain.”
Lord Jesus we come to you today to pray for our nation. Things do not look good to our eye, yet we know that even in the worst circumstances you are present, available and at work in the hearts of man, even the most hard hearted.
Lord we pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit on our nation, a divine intervention into midst of our government. We pray that the schemes of those who desire to shut out and cripple your voice be defeated. Lord God, we pray for open and fair elections and the release of the unjustly imprisoned. Lord let not your churches fall into the traps laid before them.May your people be unafraid to speak the truth no matter the consequences or threats.
