Jesus and disciples picked corn on the sabbath.
They were hungry. And if they saw an ox down in a trench they would help it up even though it was the Sabbath. Jesus healed on the Sabbath and brought relief on the afflicted. It is okay to do good necessary works on the Sabbath as necessary (police, firemen and hospitals). Pray and obey instead of looking for loopholes or as one may have referred to God as a “legalist”. The Ten Commandments are holy and perfect. The Scriptures say so. Let every man be a liar but God does not lie.
