Notice it does not say “the Sabbaths” and it is not referring to THE Sabbath. It is referring to the many different special Sabbth days the Jews had. Each one was on the Sabbath but at a special time on the calendar.
Not all of these sabbaths were on the seventh day but occurred on lunar signs. There even sabbaths for the land to let the land rest every so many years.
