One should not take a good quality Bible to such a protest as it is sure to get torn and thrown. Get a cheap $1 one at a discount store or a well worn one free at the Salvation Army.
I remember a Unitarian Universalist so-called “preacher” who grabbed a good one from the hands of an anti-abortionist preacher decades ago in Tulsa OK.
The UU “preacher” bragged about how he still had that bible several months later.
It is amazing that a book composed between 3500 and 2000 years ago still brings out the beast within certain people. I bet the Street Preacher was reading Leviticus 18 to them and it cut them to the quick.
