Last time I checked, we were no longer under the Old Covenant/ceremonial/ law. Every person who has ever lived will be judged by God, according to their works. Some will be going to heaven, some won’t. Those who commit willful, unrepentant lawlessness, won’t.
And...”until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the law until everything is accomplished.”
With the New Covenant, God’s laws are internalized into our hearts and minds. Judgment for breaking these laws (”the law, and the prophets”) is delayed until the end.
Hebrews 10:
26For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Practicing witchcraft is certain to end in damnation.
12For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
