Romans 5:6-8 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Anything else is going beyond Scripture, and surely sets up one to be duped.
1 Corinthians 4:6 niv
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.

The problem is, when they leave, usually, they leave anything spiritual and become agnostic.
The EX Mormon experience...
Religious[edit]
An online poll of ex-Mormons found that a majority of ex-Mormons do not self-identify as a member of another faith tradition, choosing to describe themselves as agnostic, atheist or simply ex-Mormon. Some can also become apatheist. A Pew Research report corroborated this, finding in 2015 that 36% of those born Mormon left the religion, with 21% of born Mormons (58% of ex-Mormons) now unaffiliated, 6% evangelical Protestant, and 9% converting to other Protestant, Catholic, or a non-Christian faith.[19] Others either retained belief in God but not in organized religion or became adherents of other faiths.[7] Among ex-Mormons with no current religious preference, 36 percent continued the practice of prayer often or daily.[13] Ex-Mormon attitudes toward Mormons and Mormonism vary widely. Some ex-Mormons actively proselytize against Mormonism, while some provide only support to others leaving the religion. Other ex-Mormons prefer to avoid the subject entirely, while still others may try to encourage healthy dialogue between adherents of their new faiths and active Mormons. Attitudes of ex-Mormons also differ regarding their church membership. Some formally resign, which the LDS Church refers to as "name removal", while others simply stop attending church services.

I did not try to interpret 1 John 1:9 but I am satisfied with the KJV. Your appeal to thee Greek is of interest but I don’t speak Greek. I’ll try to interpret along the same line of MHGinTN
There are two creations. First is natural then spiritual according to the rule of 1 Corinthians 15:46. The natural man is created in Adam and cannot stop sinning. The spiritual man is created in Christ unto good works(Ephesians 2:10) and anything created in Christ cannot sin.
Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

I finally had time to view this video by Ken Johnson. I have been working a lot of hours and its canning season. Just a few comments.
He mentions satan accusing the saints at the judgment.(about 17:30 in the video) Revelation 20 seems to put Satan in the lake of fire before the books were opened.
At about the 38 minute mark he says that Ruth became an Israelite. This is not in the Bible and is conspicuous by its absence. Ruth is called a Moabitess and is typical of the PTR. She is not mentioned again after the birth of Obed. The women said “a child is born unto Naomi.”

No appeal to Greek.
Just posting what the passage says using what gets left out in English and loses what was inspired.
If you want to know what something *means*, it’s always good to understand what it actually *says”

When Ruth married an Israelite (one of Naomi’s sons) she became an Israelite. That is not what happens if a non-Jew male marries an Israelite. When the child, Obed, was born to Ruth THAT meant an heir to Naomis deceased husband was re-establishing Naomi’s husband lineage. Mahlon and Chilean were both deceased without children, but Ruth had been the wife of an Israelite before she was taken in marriage by the near kinsman.
