Yeshua; The Fulfillment of Yom Kipper

My beloved Jewish and Gentile friend, may I ask you these very personal questions on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kipper)?

Where is YOUR atonement (covering) for your transgressions against the RIGHTEOUS Holy Law of Almighty G-d (Lev. 17:11, Isa. 53)?

Where is YOUR sin-offering for your cleansing of transgressions against the Holy Law of Almighty G-d (Lev. 4, 17:11, Isa. 53)?

Where is YOUR lamb to offer in your place for your transgressions (Lev. 17:11, Isa. 53)?

Where is YOUR propitiation that FULLY satisfies the PERFECT RIGHTEOUS DEMANDS OF THE HOLY LAW OF G-D (Isa. 53:10-11, Zech. 12:8-14)?

Have you PERFECTLY kept the LAW of Moses with your whole HEART, SOUL, and MIND (Deut. 6:5)?

My dear Jewish and gentile friend, ALL (Jew and Gentile) crucially need Almighty God's FULL SATISFYING propitiation, which all the lambs of sacrifice pointed to but could NEVER take away (Ps. 40:6-8, Isa. 40:16). ETERNAL redemption is ONLY found in the PERFECT life, death, and resurrection of the Messiah of Israel, the Branch of RIGHTEOUSNESS (Psalm 110:1, Isa 9:6-7, 53, Jer. 33:15, Zech. 12:10). The Messiah was born of the seed of the woman and of the line of Abraham (Gen. 3:15, 12:3, Isa. 7:14, 9:6-7, Micah 5:2). He laid down His PERFECT and sinless life and shed His Blood for the transgressions of the world and was rejected by both Jew and Gentile (Isa. 53:1-10, Dan. 9:26, Zech. 12:10). He was buried (Ps. 16:10, Isa 53:9) and triumphantly AROSE from the dead for our justification and now sits at the RIGHT HAND of ALMIGHTY G-D in Heaven (Psalm 16:10,110:1, Isa. 52:13, 53:12, 9:6-7). He will come again to redeem Israel and will establish His Kingdom from Israel FOREVER (Psalm 110:1, Isa. 11:1-10, Dan. 2:44-45, 7:13-14, Micah 4:1-4, Zech. 12-14).

It is our sincere desire that all would come to know the Messiah of Israel and let the Word of the Lord open your eyes and heart to the realities of time and ETERNITY. Tragically; as we look prophetically ahead; Israel's WORST DAYS are not very far away (Jer. 30:4-9, Zech 13:7-9, 14:1-4). It will take this GREAT TRIBULATION AND THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON that will cause Israel to FINALLY afflict themselves greatly because of their transgressions and cry out to the LORD Yeshua Messiah as He returns from Heaven's glory! It will be then that they will greatly repent and be mightily converted (Isa. 63:1-4, 66:7-9, Zech. 12:1-4, :8-14, 13:1-2,6, 14:1-4, Rev. 1:7, 19:11-21). Oh what a glorious day that will be and because of their reception of Yeshua Messiah they will now be ready for the Kingdom Age Almighty God promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and to her seed!

Beloved, Yeshua came to TAKE AWAY our sins, not to COVER (Kippur) them (Isa. 53, Dan. 9:26, John 1:29; 19:30, Heb. 10, 1 John 4:10, Rev. 1:5)! The blood of goats and lambs could NEVER atone for a sinful man, but the spotless man from the seed of Abraham, can go to the cross and be our RIGHTEOUS Lamb (Gen. 3:15, 12:3, Lev. 17:11-14, Isa. 9:6-7; 53, Dan. 9:26, Zech. 12:10-14, Psalm 40:6-9; 110:1, Matt. 1:18-21, 2 Cor. 5:12-21, Gal. 1:4; 3:13-18, Heb. 10:1-25, Rev. 1:17-18)! Oh my dear Jewish friend, may you have an ear to hear today the ETERNAL Gospel call of the Messiah of Israel! May you by faith ask Almighty G-d to reveal to you through His Holy Word the TRUE Messiah of Israel and may you receive Him as your Lord and Savior (Ps.110:1, Isa. 53). You will NEVER be the same!

Beloved, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

Thanks bunches for posting this blasphemy. Thanks bunches for attacking the Jewish religion. We do not worship any deity except for G-d, and nothing that you post will lend truth to YOUR version of “judaism”. We follow our own religion, the way it was dictated to us to follow by G-d. You and no other puny human have any basis for telling us that our practices are inadequate and must be replaced by ones involving your deity. How are you any better than the Taliban forcing Islam on people following other religions? The answer is, you’re NOT. You seem to specialize in posting insulting things about Judaism and how it should be replaced by other practices. What incredible nerve.

Nobody is FORCING you. You have the right to choose to reject the messiah Who is actually God Himself. That’s all on you. Our job is to deliver the message and YOU know it, so you’re gonna have to deal with the consequences.

The post was long, and — from a Jewish perspective — disputable at several points. I encourage you, however, that MOST Christians cultivate and teach great love for The Jewish people, and for the nation of Israel as their homeland. They take to heart that G-d declares the descendants of Abraham “His People” and “the apple of His eye” and warns through Abraham “I will bless those who bless you, and all who curse you I will curse.”

Christians are not your enemies. Christianity is not your enemy. Though it may seem difficult to ascertain why not.

Paul was a Pharisee — the most zealous among them, by his own confession — versed in the Law and The Prophets, energetic in keeping the Law of Moses perfectly. Whatever happened to him, he instantly changed from Persecutor of Christianity to Promoter of it. But wherefore his Jewish roots? And, not only him, but what of all those 3000+ mostly Jewish converts in Jerusalem?

Writing to a congregation of Gentile and Jewish people in Rome, Paul wrote three entire chapters, writing much of it in the midrash form that would be familiar to Jewish readers, explaining the condition of “his people” — yes, as a Christian asserting the Jews were nevertheless his people — in light of the Christian understanding of the identity of this rabbi, Yeshua, from Nazareth.

WHEREAS, clearly you don’t think he was who Paul thought he was (and I’m not busy about changing your mind at that point), NONETHELESS, take time to read Paul’s discourse; he was — I daresay — more Jewish even than you, touting his heritage in the tribe of Benjamin, his circumcision on the Eighth Day — back when there was still a Temple there to do it properly — his upbringing as “a Pharisee of Pharisees,” his observance of The Law — perfect. Why would such a Jew, with such deep and hearty roots in The Law and The Prophets turn and follow this — Yeshua, this one they call “Christ”?

I do not write as though to make you a convert; above all in these days, however, I would that you grasp more clearly WHAT orthodox Christianity teaches about the Jewish people, and WHY Christians are disposed to show favor to Jews and to Israel. And, yes, understand that even in spite of Paul’s writing, there remains much confusion about the matter among Christians. Being humans, as are we all, it turns out that — after 2000+ years — Christians haven’t been better at keeping their faith, than the tribes of Israel following, first Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, then a series of Kings until division, exile, and diaspora.

Trust me, Christians who are honest lord nothing over you.

So, then, here, is Paul’s confession, first, and his teaching:

[I will further note, just as not all who are OF Israel are who G-d regards as “Israel,” so not all who are called “Christian” are who Paul would regard as Christian.]

I think what you point out about it being 2,000 years later is important, too, for us not to forget, as G-d has been at work in the world all that time, and while He has never changed, He has changed much in our world since that time. And while, as a Christian, I believe His Word has not changed, we also have to look at it prayerfully, in humility, not leaning on our own understanding, but asking Him always for renewed wisdom as we consider His Word alongside what He has done in the world over the past 2,000 years.

I have confidence in this:
At the Restoration of All Things, we all — Jew, Gentile... whatever — will be able to look back at the totality and see the not a single letter of His Word either failed or was errant. I am ever mindful that “we see now, as in an ancient mirror, only an obscure image.” When all of told, His Word will stand vindicated in totality.

“...you’re gonna have to deal with the consequences.”

Peace, brother. “For we all like sheep have gone astray, and have turned ev’ry one to his own way, and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” And, whereas, “there is, therefore, now no condemnation to them which are in Christ,” it yet remains that “we must all appear before Christ’s seat of judgement to give account and be recompensed for every deed done in the body, whether good or bad.”

At the foot of The Cross is not the only place where the ground is level. For since we are all equally forgiven the penalty of sin, we are likewise all equally answerable to the consequences.

Not at all my friend; it is a challenge to all including myself; if you even read the post; how will you a Jew or Gentile who is a broken egg deliver yourself? How will you a Jew or Gentile fullfill the Law of Moses PERFECTLY and Levitical Law (Lev 17)? Be believing in all the Scriptures not just in your tradition to Jews and Christians. Be not offended and objective then you will see. I have Jewish blood on me: I get your offendedness but search your self and see.

Well, that's the profundity of it; read Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:

"...in Christ God was reconciling THE WORLD to himself, not counting people’s trespasses against them, and he has given us the message of reconciliation." -- v.19.

The forgiveness wrought upon The Cross is DONE, for EVERYONE, for all time, contingent ONLY upon their acceptance of it.

Our pleas on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!” are for the lost to accept the reconciliation already purchased for them in the blood of Christ Jesus. The debt of sin has been cancelled, but the lost have to be made sensible of it, and lay claim to it for themselves.

Again, in Colossians 2:14 Paul asserts the nature of the transaction between The Father and The Son on The Cross: "He has destroyed what was against us, a certificate of indebtedness expressed in decrees opposed to us. He has taken it away by nailing it to the cross." And in what form did He nail it to The Cross? In the bodily form of Christ, Our LORD, who BECAME sin on our behalf, and God laid upon Him the penalty for all of our iniquity, to satisfy the demand of Divine Justice, so that whosoever will might become the righteousness of God.

We speak too glibly when we say "Jesus died on the cross for your sin. It's FAR more grave than that, for it was the will of God to CRUSH him [Is. 53:10]. God PERSONALLY EXECUTED Jesus at Calvary instead of us, and in that act forgiveness for all has been wholly sealed forever in the blood of Jesus, but it must be made known to the lost, and accepted in faith.

Absolutely. But we have BETTER news than we commonly tell them.

Too often we tell the lost they need to repent of their sin, and be forgiven so their sin debt to God can be eradicated.

The actual GOOD NEWS is that while they DO need to repent of sin, the debt is ALREADY eradicated, and the Ministry of Reconciliation we have is to be able to tell the lost, “Hey, that debt you owe to God, that you couldn’t repay — God sacrificed His only Son to dissolve that debt, and — if you accept that payment on your behalf, and repent of the sin that amassed that debt — God is inviting you into a reconciled (debt-free), direct, personal relationship with Him; starting right here, right now.”

I don’t nitpick about it, but the price of our reconciliation was SO high, we ought to make the effort to convey that invitation to repent, and be reconciled as accurately as we can.

Allow me to introduce you to Jack, a friend of mine. He owns the property that you trespass onto every morning on your way to shortcut to the donut shop. He thinks you’re kind of a scumbag but, don’t worry, he really likes you and has forgiven you and wants to be part of your life.

Would you even WANT to meet Jack? If we don’t want to introduce HUMANS in such a manner, why do we try to introduce GOD in such a way?

That whole thing about sin, righteousness and judgement is the Holy Spirit’s job, not ours. John 16:8-11, “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” [notice it’s SATAN who is judged, not sinners]

Jesus came not to judge [John 3:17 and other verses] so why do we take it upon ourselves to bring up this sin stuff when it is the unpleasant task of the Holy Spirit? God told us to preach GOOD news, not bad news.

Hmmm.

I read it more like this:

“Allow me to introduce you to Jack; he’s the King, and a friend of mine. You need to know that he owns the property that you’ve been trespassing on every morning on your way to shortcut to the donut shop. The penalty for trespassing on the King’s land is a bazillion dollars. You didn’t know this, but the Sheriff had a warrant out for you, but Jack thinks you’re cool, so yesterday while you were hiking across his property, he forgave your debt. If you apologize for trespassing on his land, and promise not to anymore, he’s extending an open invitation for you to come over to the palace anytime, hang out, and enjoy primo donuts made by the Royal Baker, and partake of the finest coffee in the Kingdom. What’s more, Jack’s read your resume, and has a killer job for you in his Kingdom that he’d like to set you up with; it’s RIGHT up your alley.”

RE: “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,...”

The word translated “condemn” is a passing final judgment a la the White Throne of Revelation 20 kind of word, not a finger-wagging “you know better” accusing kind of word.

John 3:17 is simply affirming that final judgment of the type that will be rendered at the White Throne wasn’t Jesus’ mission.

So, the guy has his debt forgiven and doesn’t even need to meet Jack. I think my analogy is better but I do like your treatment of it.

It reminds me of the Lewis & Clark expedition where they were introducing themselves as representatives of the rightful owners of the properties the injuns were living on. It required DEMONSTRATION of extra power. And sometimes it really didn’t go over too well.

But either way, I gather that the answer to my question is NO, you would NOT want to meet Jack in my original analogy. So my point is well made.

It’s all over the new testament, Jesus came not to judge... so why do so many christians hang onto that desire to judge? That judgementalist spirit holds people back from the kingdom. And preaching the bad news of conviction of sin, righteousness and judgement is kind of a horrible job. God gave us a far better job of preaching GOOD news, not bad news.
