Apophis is coming in 2029

Friday, April 13, 2029, to be more precise!

"Scientists" say it will miss the earth; passing just inside the orbit of earth geosynchronous satellites. Keep in mind the closest approach is still almost 8 years away. I'm not too sure how they can be so certain of this trajectory given the number of orbit altering solar mass ejections, just to name one of several orbit altering factors.

The diagram below has Apophis coming even closer to the moon than to the earth. JPL's current small body projections show Apophis staying outside the moon's orbit. So who can possibly predict its actual trajectory almost 8 years from now? There is also the possibility of collisions with other debris before then, and even intentional changes to its orbit by one country for the purpose of taking out another.
