Can we not obtain salvation without the eating of the son of God?

Salvation has absolutely nothing to do with communion or any other act one can perform. It's a gift and all you have to do is sincerely ask for it.

I remember many things. I don’t have to do something that is normally viewed as cannibalism.

It is a gift, a free gift, you don’t have to ask for anything. Your sins have already been forgiven. All you have to do is believe in the Gospel, which is spelled out for us in 1 Cor 15:3-4 and further proofed in Rom 10:10.
