There’s no “aha” there, Mrs. Don-o. Catholics go in their prayer closets, so to speak, and pray and spend time with, in their minds, Mary rather than with God. Just because Catholics intellectually acknowledge that she’s a creature doesn’t mean that they don’t also *treat* her as a god. That’s the matter of saying one thing and doing another, which is necessary to do things like pray to Mary while maintaining that only God is God.
