"You remember that thing I was discussing with you over dinner?

You may if you want to preserve that conversation for posterity's sake... I've yet to find a verse(s) that says,
"You remember that thing I was discussing with you over dinner?

Some of the apostles who roamed around with Jesus were repeating what they were told and the things that happened...They had not yet written anything down...Jesus sent them the Holy Ghost that they could remember to repeat those truths from crowd to crowd without forgetting anything and then later to make a perfect record of the events written in scripture...So it's kinda like yah, the Holy Ghost would say to Peter, you remember what you were told when you went into that trance and this big sheet appeared??? Well I'll refresh your memory, again...

They of course went for years without the NT scriptures being compiled...But when they were, they were written in accordance with the oral traditions they had been following for years...
