Interesting to see, but how significant is this?

Or to say another way, does the faith of Catholic voters move them towards voting a certain way? It would appear not based on the splits we see here.

I’m sure professional political operatives have deeper detail of such group voting. Such as, breaking down Catholic women voting, Catholic married women, Catholic mothers, Catholic Hispanic women, etc.

I’ve heard that the inrosds Trump.has made in black voter support has been almost all among black men, as black women remain 95+% Democrat voters. But have not seen the numbers on that in particular.

I’m sure the professional political operatives are setting up spreadsheets to micro analyze all of this.

Catholics are not single issue voters on abortion, that seems clear.

The interesting thing I notice is Catholics were left of the nation as a whole up until 2008. Since 2008 they have been to the right.

No *real* Catholic would have even considered voting for Obola or BillyBob.But I'm sure it's no secret that in this country at least there's no shortage of “Catholics In Name Only”.

In Iowa, that has been true for sure, although white Catholics have leaned Left again this election. It is still very much true that Catholics still prefer to vote for Catholics, even if they’re baby killers.

Long-time Representative (and Catholic) Steve King had his closest election ever, and in more Catholic northeast Iowa, Leftist Catholic (and outspoken about it) Abby Finkenauer defeated incumbent Rod Blum, a Protestant.

There are too many CINOs who do not even believe in the REAL PRESENCE in the Eucharist! If you ignore Jesus and his teaching, murdering babies won’t bother you.

Maybe in midterms....but if you look at the presidential results, you see the Roman Catholic vote has sided with the demoncrat candidate way more than Republican candidate.

It's very significant. The Roman Catholic vote is roughly 20-25% of the electorate.

It would have been interesting to get the numbers for non-Hispanic Catholics.

And Jews going 79% Dem?

Yes, for REAL Catholics. Like the ones you will find on FR.

Remember that most of the immigrants, both legal and illegal, from south of the border are Catholic. I'm guessing Americanized Catholics -- those whose families have been here a couple of generations or more -- lean Republican by a substantial margin. Those who got here the week before last, not so much. The other obvious crosstab would be Catholics who actually attend church vs. CINO's.

Speaking as a Conserative who is Traditionalist Catholic
(ie real Catholic) I can tell you that 100% of real Catholics
would never, ever vote for a Democrat. But the majority of
Catholics are cultural, and a majority of those would vote Liberal.

Yup. Obviously, there are far more important issues than killing babies and buggering boys, you know, like immigration.
