Representatives Adam Zemke and Darrin Camilleri pushing radical LGBT agenda, persecuting Christians

LANSING, Mich. (ChurchMilitant.com) - Michigan Democrats are harassing a church for offering to counsel teenage girls struggling with their sexual identity.

On February 8, Adam Zemke and Darrin Camilleri, both Democratic members of the Michigan House of Representatives, condemned the "Unashamed Identity Workshop" sponsored by the Metro City Church in Riverview.

The announcement for the workshop — now taken down from the group's website — is a counseling session for girls aged 12–16 years old, asking, "Does your child or grandchild struggle with sexual identity? Do you see the pain and hurt of their struggle but you're uncertain how to help?"

It is described as being for girls "struggling with thoughts that are trans[gender], gay, bi[sexual] or other. It doesn't have to be this way. With God's help, there can be healing, wholeness and hope with thoughtful, biblical and relevant counsel."

Zemke and Camilleri, along with three other Democrats, are calling the workshop "wildly inappropriate," writing a letter to Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, calling gay reparative therapy a "discredited pseudoscience based on the false claim that being lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender is a mental illness that needs to be cured."

Can you imagine the attacks if the Christians are disarmed? Don't give them an inch. First Amendment guarantees we can worship how we want and the Second gives it teeth.

In much of Europe, certainly Brittan and Germany, people can be and are thrown in jail for this or even criticizing homosexuality. People have been jailed for quoting bible verses regarding homosexuality. This tyranny is possible because those governments have disarmed their citizens.

Actually, I find this pretty funny. The libs can prevent professional psychological counselors from practicing gay conversion therapy but there nothing they can do to prevent Christian counseling that deals with the same issue.

That is so true, and actually the issue is demonic, so Christian Counseling, in some churches, is able to help the one influenced.

I doubt psychiatry/psychology is answer for many types of spiritual problems.

Finding that church is more difficult in this atmosphere of complicity with world. It is more readily available in larger ‘spirit filled’ denominations.

Since the practice of homosexual behavior is a sin, the Catholic Church SHOULD preach against it.

I think it's one of the few churches that does condemn it...just a guess.
