Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

A few years ago, I hosted a study of the Scriptures in the Wonderful Oratorio "Messiah" by George Frederick Handel. We may revisit that with some new insights and stories as our next adventure on this Thread. In the meantime, click on the link above to hear the beautiful Chorus from that towering work, "Lift Up Your Heads", in which the Chorus asks "Who is the King of Glory?"

The answer comes quickly, "THE LORD OF HOSTS! HE IS THE KING OF GLORY!"

You can't get any more succinct than that! And I am sure there are those in our nation today who would be offended by such a blunt and "exclusive" remark. No equivocation, no apologies, no explanation for the opinion. Handel takes several minutes to express the thought, but the words themselves are short and sweet. Who is the King of Glory? The LORD of Hosts! HE is the King of Glory!"
