TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Police in Iran’s capital said Thursday they will no longer arrest women for failing to observe the Islamic dress code in place since the 1979 revolution.
The announcement signaled an easing of punishments for violating the country’s conservative dress code, as called for by the young and reform-minded Iranians who helped re-elect President Hassan Rouhani, a relative moderate, earlier this year.
But hard-liners opposed to easing such rules still dominate Iran’s security forces and judiciary, so it was unclear whether the change would be fully implemented.

They are trying to throw protesters a bone.
How can we blame this on President Trump?
They won’t arrest them.
Incarceration and trials are expensive.
Bullets are cheap.
Somehow the basic principles of Natural Rights and Natural Law just eluded them. They truly are living in the 7th century.
The Iranian people know who’s in charge in DC now. I look for them to become more emboldened. They learned not to trust the Brown Clown.
This is good, and it is no coincidence it is happening now.
The ‘student revolution’ was starting near the end of Bush’s term.
Obama put a stop to that, and helped the muslim brotherhood and then ISIS dominate the region through the ‘Arab Spring”.
For 8 years they’ve had free reign thanks to Obama.
They see Trump as a change, and a possible opportunity for them.

That is how I see it. They see President Trump as a strong leader who keeps his word. I think that emboldens them.
This will not end well. Just a hunch.
I was being sarcastic in my post #4 above but it turns out the Left truly is blaming Trump for the unrest going on in Iran now, which they attribute to economic deterioration due to Trump's unwinding of Obama's nuclear deal.
So Iranian women ditching their headscarves really is Trump's fault!
