A bizarre scene unfolded in Vatican City on Christmas Day when a topless female activist, while screaming “God is woman,” attempted to snatch a baby Jesus statue from a Nativity scene — but was quickly whisked away by police as she lunged for it.
The woman, who also had “God is woman” painted in black on her bare back, was seen jumping over a guardrail and charging toward the Nativity scene in St. Peter’s Square, Reuters reported.

Don’t know about Italy, but a Mr. Mark Kenney took action against a Mary Poppins display in Omaha 2 years ago. (Also removed a Buddha statue). I know no traditional chapel would ever allow displays like this.

Didn't the near-exact same thing happen a few years back? Femen protestor (topless) tries to "steal the baby Jesus" from the same exact Vatican City nativity scene? Except that time the woman was blond, and was maybe just yelling out "God is a woman!"?
The look on the the man's face who escorted that previous one away from the nativity scene was memorable.
It's was like a "aw geez -- not this again"?, but laughing, suppressing a smirk at the ridiculousness of the "protest" at the same .

Except for a few sects of middle eastern Christians not aligned with the Roman and Eastern Catholic Church(and all Protestant groups were originated as a break away from Roman and Eastern Catholicism) . Catholics we’re here first and their lineage is from Peter. Catholics don’t worship idols. They sometimes present statues to REPRESENT and revere Jesus and Mary and the Saints (and what’s with the Mary hatred?). For illiterate serfs figures while being taught an oral lesson helped the stories hit home. One does not worship the statue
yes there were evil popes. We have one now. But he too will pass. You don’t throw out the baby with the bath water.

The statue of the Baby Jesus didn’t seem normal to me. It was naked (no swaddling clothes) and it had no feet.
That was the whole point of why I did so.
