Like any religion, Judaism is a religion which cannot give life. Life can only be found in, through and withing the life of Yeshua the Moshiach. I am a born-again, Spirit-filled Christian. Christ (Moshiach) lives in me.
My prayer for you is that you read the gospel of John; that your heart and eyes be opened and that you receive Yeshua the Moshiach. Your religion cannot save you.
I heard a story of how they catch monkeys in certain parts of the world. Hunters fashion a heavy wooden bottle with a narrow neck. They place nuts in it and locate the bottle near a pack of monkeys. A monkey will put his hand in the bottle and grab a handful of nuts but becomes unable to extract his clenched fist through the narrow neck of the bottle. Hunters will then walk up to the monkey and catch it because it is unwilling to let go of the nuts.
The point of this story is that there are some things in life, which if we don't let go, will cost us our life. Decades ago, I began a search for truth and life. I tried philosophy; I tried hedonism; I tried TM; I tried religion. In time, the Lord brought me to Himself and through His mercy, I found Yeshua the Moshiach and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Life is good! God is good!
Okay, I've said this so many times and it's never done any good, but here we go again.
Suppose Phinneous were to read the gospel of John. Okay. Why should he believe it? Why should he think it is Divinely inspired, or from G-d, or tells the truth?
Can you just please explain this? How do you know the "new testament" is what it claims to be? You can quote it until you're blue in the face, but is there any reason to believe it? Is it just "self-evidently" true?
Sheesh, I've read the "book of mormon," but I never believed it.
