Participants in the First US Regional Meeting of Popular Movements issued a message from Modesto following a four-day meeting in the California city.
Cardinal Peter Turkson and two dozen US bishops attended the meeting, which was cosponsored by the Vaticans Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, the US bishops Catholic Campaign for Human Development, and PICO National Network.
We believe that every human is sacred with equal claim to safe water, education, health care, housing and family-sustaining jobs, participants said in their message. Racism and all forms of human hierarchy, whether based on skin color, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, arrest and conviction records, immigration status, religion or ethnicity are immoral.
Racism is stripping Black, Latino, Asian, Muslim, Native people of their humanity and fueling police abuse and mass-incarceration, and fueling a crisis of homelessness and displacement, the message continued. Raids and Trump Administration Executive Orders are scapegoating immigrants and ripping families apart.

You have no right to pick another man’s pocket to pay for your philosophy so GFYs.
Let’s just call it anarchy and be done with it. I don’t think they’ll like it in the end.
“... and all forms of human hierarchy,”
A catholic group put this out? Did they clear this upward with the hierarchy?
A Cardinal and two dozen bishops come out against hierarchy. That’s funny.
They want to tell everyone how to be egalitarian. There is a great irony in that!
You weren’t supposed to notice that.
By declaring that there will be no more hierarchies they are, in effect, declaring themselves as the top of the heap (decision makers) in the hierarchical process. The irony...
They are the hierarchy. Turkson is even papabile and inner circle. If he now disavows human hierarchy, let’s see if he relinquishes his numerous titles and his red hat.
That article was humorous. I thought it was something from Sojourners. When did liberation theology become a home game?
None of the above bolded adjectives describe a religion, except "muslim".
Especially the ones that hate and have fought to restrict access to guns.
Many Americans are armed to the teeth.

Cardinal Peter Turkson and two dozen US bishops attended the meeting,
So that should be Peter Turkson not Cardinal Turkson and two dozen other humans not two dozen Bishops.
Absolutely.
But there seems to be a much greater percentage of armed conservatives :-) ,
