President-elect Donald Trump has been a very good listener during meetings of a Catholic coalition group that he set up to advise him on the faith during his presidential campaign.
This is according to one of its members, former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, Jim Nicholson.
Nicholson told the Register Nov. 10 that the newly elected President is not only an intent listener who heeded their advice in the lead up to Tuesdays ballot, but also asks very good questions. He therefore believes the group could have a very positive effect on President-elect Trump.
Trump formally set up the body of 34 respected Catholics in September in a bid to allay concerns about his candidacy among some in the Church, and to attract more Catholic voters. Part of the Trump Faith and Cultural Advisory Committee, it was viewed as evidence of his commitment to protecting religious freedom and moral values.
I think well have a good audience and a good chance to be heard and help shape his views about all things Catholic, said Nicholson, who served as U.S. ambassador to the Holy See during President George W. Bushs first term before being appointed Secretary of Veterans Affairs from 2005 to 2007.
Trump pledged to continue communication with its members if elected president.
Nicholson further pointed out that Trump carries the Catholic vote which is a large number, adding that he has a lot of friends and associates who are Catholic he grew up in New York City.
Catholics were crucial to Trump's election: he won 52% of the Catholic vote, compared to Hillary Clinton's 45%.

45% of those Catholic voters should examine their consciences.
Obama was at +2 in 2012.
That’s a turnaround of +9.
(Additionally) The pastors of those 45% should examine their consciences. As should their bishops. Including the Bishop of Rome.
When a person has an SJW homily shoved down his throat constantly and is taught SJW lessons in school (or catechism class), reinforced by the media, it's no surprise that some of them turn out to be SJW's themselves.
Catholic ping!
our parish priest from Ghana asked us to pray the Rosary for Donald Trump at 5:30 mass last night:

Our Priest is from Ghana too.
Devout Catholics as well as other faithful Christians are looking for a strong moral leader. Could Trump be that person. It would be nice.
From what I can find about him, he’s not pro-illegal, but he is not firm enough, for my tastes, on the subject.
I think Trump understands that the Pope is pro-abortion and Communist, and that the loudest bishops are his (Trump’s) enemies.
Those 45% are probably the “Catholics” who only go to wedding, funerals, and the occasional Christmas or Easter.
And think of the Catholic voters who also saw their jobs in coal mining that are being eliminated due to the Dems environmental policies and Hillary’s constant “I love environmentalists and hate those deplorable miners.” And add to that the manufacturing jobs that have been exported that Trump promised to get back to the US.
There is much to be done, within the limits of Constitutional authority, that will benefit many Americans.
Good morning, mark, and BTTT for now.
It may be of interest that Donald Trump’s late older brother, Freddy, attended Catholic parochial school in Jamaica, Queens, New York.
