We never had a Bible in our house nor did I ever see one in the Catholic school I attended for almost five years.
We had two bibles in our house. My Dad’s Catholic bible and Mom’s King James Bible.
I have no idea about your home but I can guarantee that there were Bibles in your school. It's no wonder that you misinterpret the Bible now, you rely on your own ability to decipher what authors of a book partially written by Jewish scholars and added to by Christian scholars thousands of years ago when you've studied it for a few years of your adult life. Why don't you listen to people who have devoted their lives to bring you their best and spiritually guided interpretation of God's word? One usually doesn't read through an encyclopedia and decide that they are an expert on everything.
