I am not an Biblical scholar nor do I even play one on T.V.but, I believe the Bible clearly states that it is our will that chooses to or not to do evil whatever "side" it comes from.

It is our free expression of this will to love God, at the very sacrifice of ourselves (wants,desires, lusts, etc.) that is our highest calling. IMHO
