The gospel simply says -- I paraphrase. "give what you have to the poor and follow Christ". "Monastery" is not there indeed, but monasteries are places created by the Church for that very purpose.Salvation by monastery?
Are you typing from a monastery now? Why not?
I have a wife and children that need my care. I'd love to be in a monastery but that is not where God placed me.
