It says that "everyone" who "hath forsaken" his relatives and possessions for Christ will have two things: hundredfold return and "everlasting life". Because they are tow things, there is an "and" joining the two. That is what Matthew 19:29 says.
On my profile, there is a collection of bizarre Protestant interpretations of the Gospels. Kindly explain how "and" does not mean "and" in that verse and I will feature you there prominently.
Dude! There are no relatives and possessions included in everlasting life. Job received all that
on this earth. Im not sure what misunderstanding you have about the word and but it means they got both and hundred fold return and they also got eternal life.
Go over to the Gospel of Mark 10:29-30, and read a little more detail on that topic from Jesus:
Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.
Gamecock has quite a collection of bizarre Catholic comments on his profile page, as well.
