THOUGHTS ON HIM

Thought on You like the sweetness of most exotic fruit

As Love engraves in thoughts like the vibrant colors of Divine masterpiece;

Thought leads to life for a soul or emptiness to a brute.

Converse with me, Oh Lord, the most heavenly words and tender voice;

Suppress my unfaithful thoughts and irrelevant voices

Of the world which now becomes far away and detached

While my heart rests on You.

Dearest Lord, You know that I love You, many times You want me to repeat;

I proclaim on the rooftop; I whisper in the wind,

Thousands upon thousands times I say, “I love You! ”

I love, Lord, I truly love You, with my heart, with all my soul, with all my being,

With everything I have, with everything You have given me, I am now returning,

For all in me has been created to love, so to Love, I belong.

Lord, each minute passes, what would become of me if time does not cease

Grant Your servant, Lord, that each minute remains eternalized in my heart, in my soul, never leaves.

Each moment become so precious as I live love with You, the single Subject of my intellectual fibers

Which are woven into intertwining Oneness,

Even the whole world cannot separate,

With stillness where You and I enter

With all possessions I left at the doorstep; all my carnal surrenders

And all my desires I yield to receive Your Presence expressively in thoughts

I keep Your words for I long to hear their echo through the crowd

Who sat and listened upon Galilean hills, by rocking boats

Attentively I hear every Divine heartbeat while I caress Your feet and wipe them with my tear

I guard and treasure this closeness, this touch, for only Love can satisfy my passion,

The human sparks of our most intimate Union.

The Spirit of the Most High, live in me for me to catch;

I give my all, His, to follow Him;

Make me Your instrument to be fisher of men.

For I can only love Him more by inviting more in loving.

Keep me always before Your Face, so your Breath be mine, my consciousness;

I now cling to Your Spirit with my last breath which is always Him,

To live a life of fullest expression.

I have put a lot of thoughts in this poem; I found it is hard to express a human heart in love with the Divine in thoughts. It is much easier for me just to love Him. I lay myself bare for you.
