These are people who are doomed if the Bible is true. So they either have to deny it repeatedly to try to convince themselves that they have nothing to worry about, or make up some XBox video fantasy of what is "going to happen" that has absolutely no basis in Scripture.

I think you’re quite right.
There are people who are desperate for the Bible to be a book of fairy tales instead of the word of God, absolute truth, inerrant, and, as far as the prophecies are concerned, more certain to happen than the sun coming up tomorrow.These are people who are doomed if the Bible is true.
