My soul magnifies the Lord,
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.
For He has regarded the low estate of His handmaiden,
For behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with His arm:
He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has put down the mighty from their thrones,
and exalted those of low degree.
He has filled the hungry with good things;
and the rich He has sent empty away.
He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy;
As He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to His posterity forever.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Magníficat ánima mea Dóminum,
et exsultávit spíritus meus
in Deo salvatóre meo,
quia respéxit humilitátem
ancíllæ suæ.
Ecce enim ex hoc beátam
me dicent omnes generatiónes,
quia fecit mihi magna,
qui potens est,
et sanctum nomen eius,
et misericórdia eius in progénies
et progénies timéntibus eum.
Fecit poténtiam in bráchio suo,
dispérsit supérbos mente cordis sui;
depósuit poténtes de sede
et exaltávit húmiles.
Esuriéntes implévit bonis
et dívites dimísit inánes.
Suscépit Ísrael púerum suum,
recordátus misericórdiæ,
sicut locútus est ad patres nostros,
Ábraham et sémini eius in sæcula.
Glória Patri et Fílio
et Spirítui Sancto.
Sicut erat in princípio,
et nunc et semper,
et in sæcula sæculórum.
Amen.
She became the Mother of God, in which work so many and such great good things are bestowed on her as pass man’s understanding. For on this there follows all honor, all blessedness, and her unique place in the whole of mankind, among which she has no equal, namely, that she had a child by the Father in heaven, and such a Child . . . Hence men have crowded all her glory into a single word, calling her the Mother of God . . . None can say of her nor announce to her greater things, even though he had as many tongues as the earth possesses flowers and blades of grass: the sky, stars; and the sea, grains of sand. It needs to be pondered in the heart what it means to be the Mother of God.
Rome looks to an "alter Christus" and a "co-redeemer" and other "mediators," and in doing so, Rome reveals its corruption.
None of us could have provided such clear evidence of the above as you have just done now.
As God wills.
Sad, Man may try to Deify Mary, but she confessed she was but a handmaid of the Lord, and the Saviour was born of woman, concieved by the Holy Ghost, was His Mother Mary’s Saviour.
She like all born of man we born sinners, and all sinners need a Saviour!
“But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba Father.” (Galatians 4:3-6)
What will you have? Wages or gift? Sin as employer or God as benefactor? Earned eternal death or free eternal life? Rom. 6:23
And when exactly she was given her faith is irrelevant. Other great people in scripture such as Samuel, Samson, or even John the Baptist were endowned with the Holy Spirit prior to birth. But it makes no difference when we arrive at faith. As Paul states to the Galatians, he was chosen from his mother's womb, although it was many years later when God granted him faith. So are we all chosen from the womb and, as Mary stated, we are all blessed. It's all about timing as to when God will open our eyes and ears giving us His faith. Just like everyone else, Mary was given her faith based upon the mercy and grace of the Father at the appointed time.
We are reminded of the wisdom of Augustine who clearly saw this in the scriptures and reasoning:
Faith, then, as well in its beginning as in its completion, is God's gift; and let no one have any doubt whatever, unless he desires to resist the plainest sacred writings, that this gift is given to some, while to some it is not given.
- Augustine, A Treatise on the Predestination of the Saints
Faith is a gift given to us from heaven, and we all obtain it in exactly the same way. Including Mary.
