Help me in my infirmities, O Magnificat!
Will thou condescend to impart a least bit of they knowledge, I pray thee?
English
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death
Amen.
Latin
Ave Maria gratia plena,
Dominus tecum
Benedicta tu in mulieribus,
et benedictus
fructus ventris tui, Iesus
Sancta Maria, Mater Dei
ora pro nobis peccatoribus,
nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae
Amen.
LET GOD ARISE
AND HIS IDOLATROUS BLASPHEMOUS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED.
Baptist understanding of faith includes the fact that man cannot have such faith as is required apart from having first accepted the Grace that faith flows from.
Here’s the post by the Religion Moderator regarding foreign languages in posts...

To: Natural Law
Do not ever post an excorcism as if a prayer for another Freeper. And do not ever post in a foreign language without also translating it to English.

Sad, Man may try to Deify Mary, but she confessed she was but a handmaid of the Lord, and the Saviour was born of woman, concieved by the Holy Ghost, was His Mother Mary’s Saviour.
She like all born of man we born sinners, and all sinners need a Saviour!
“But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba Father.” (Galatians 4:3-6)
Here is a handy guide they can use to translate the archaic English of the King James Version whenever they post verses from it.
:)
Actually, to me, I think that Greek, Hebrew, and Latin are recognized (aramaic, too) languages of our religions that have regularly been used throughout the Christian era in many texts, books, and articles.
I admit they are a problem sometimes because the author doesn’t take the trouble to translate them.
However, my normal recourse is simply to pass over them, if I don’t have the time to pore over them.
If the author fails to communicate, then that is the message sender’s problem and not the message receivers.
Like Paul says, I’d far rather speak in a known language than a thousand words in an unknown tongue. Which, of course, Paul uses as an argument against speaking in tongues in the assembly.
“Sad, Man may try to Deify Mary,...”
Sad indeed. Where is that happening?
I love all the Latin. Such a beautiful dead language. Three of my older kids are taking a classical Grammar course that has them translating the bible from Latin to English and back and then translating it into modern English. I can’t believe how quickly they are picking it up and how many of the words are almost English. I truly believe it will help them learn foreign languages down the road.
The Religion Moderator has outlawed Latin or any other foreign/dead language on FR without translation.
imho,
The RC’s have such a chronic, relentless field day—with their outrageous degree of, breadth of, intensity of
abject arrogance, sancitmonious obscenities, self-righteous outrages, exclusivity, !!!!DEMANDS!!!! for submission and conformity to THEIR sensibilities and trumped up realities . . .
it’s well warranted to slap such down at every turn.
Otherwise, there wouldn’t be room for anything on the FR Rel Forum but
RC EGOS.
You got that right.
Sola deo gloria.
Not Mary. Not the pope. Not anyone’s good works.
God’s merciful, unearned grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.
Again. Not Mary. Not popes. Not anyone’s good work.
Like I said, I don’t dispute your word. I’m just not concerned if someone attacks my faith. “I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I’ve committed to Him against that day.”
That's why I referenced that handy guide - to assist those who post from the archaic English of the King James Version. No thanks necessary.
The fact that you’re littering this thread with prayers to dead people is a good illustration of why the Caucus label is necessary.
I thought about posting this as a Caucus, but decided it would be interesting to see what turned up.
I was not disappointed. Prayers about the pope. Prayers to Mary. Foreign/dead languages offered in rebuke of the rules.
Same old/same old.
But thanks, Narses, for illustrating the fact that the FR rules DO serve a good and Godly purpose when they are followed.
Try to do that. And try to stay on topic. The topic of this thread is Sola Fide and its correct and Scriptural understanding.
I’m tired of disunity.
I’m on the religion forum to promote true Christian Unity.
The rules we have are rules that should unify...
but God’s children ignore the bible far too often.
Yaaawnnnnn.......
