Why?

I guess since I'm now considered "unthinking" because I refuse to add to Scripture you can explain how a thinking person knows there are children in the house.

The presumption that there are no houses with children in them would be totally ridiculous. If the promise was made to all then one can reasonably conclude that some of those “houses” would include children if not all of them. You certainly wouldn’t intimate that the promise was made only to those that did not contain children would you?
